medium bowl with the daily special combo! Pho soup was good but the meat was too hard to chew. I was so hungry I just swallowed it down. They steam bean sprouts free of charge, if necessary. Pink lemonade is good. Two spring rolls were excellent. Flan is really tiny, I honestly thought it would be a little bigger. Service is okay. I do love the busy atmosphere ambiance, I do plan on going back again!

It was my first time at Pho Hai in Walnut, and I was very impressed. I ordered the number one pho — it had a rich flavor, lots of fresh meat, and fresh herbs. Great balance and taste. Fast and friendly service. The large, convenient parking lot is a big bonus. I’ll definitely be back!

I had to order the spring rolls with shrimp and pork, and they were delicious!
My standby. I ordered the large. Pho tai nam which is steak and brisket, and I added extra peppers which I often do.
This place is very popular so it’s easy to see why they have nice places to sit down on the TV if you wanna watch it during the service is very quick .
I ate my food up very quickly, and I would love to come back. I think anybody that stopped by here for lunch or dinner will love it.

So far one of my favorite pho place!
The taste is good every time I went, recommend the noodle with beef and pig fee, it has a spicy flavor but not actually spicy. Just this time I ordered large but the portion is much less than usually 🙁

I tried their main item beef pho. It was piping hot and broth was pretty good. I ordered raw steak and it was tender and soft and good portion of meat. Just order medium size unless you have a big appetite. They also serve bánh mi sandwiches as well as premium beef pho dish using Kobe beef. I have tried their grilled pork rice vermicelli bowl. It was okay and the only issue is that they used warm noodles instead of slightly chilled noodles. Restaurant is relatively small but the service was okay. Parking is limited during peak time due to the crowded parking lot.

I’m going to preface this review by stating that I’m Vietnamese American, born and raised in Orange County, in the heart of Little Saigon. Needless to say, it is really hard to find good Vietnamese restaurants outside of the county.
That being said, I was skeptical to try this place, and I’m glad I did, because trời ơi! People are really missing out. I walked in and could immediately tell that the food was going to be good, based on the Vietnamese drama playing in the background, and Vietnamese music, but wanted to keep my hopes down. Walking in, the place feels like any old mom and pop shop back at home.
I ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt and was immediately impressed with the smell. Upon first sip of the soup, I was floored. The phở is as good as when my bà ngoại makes it. The only thing though, is there is very little cilantro and very little râu thơm, but all is forgiven considering the taste is exceptional.
I also ordered the large cà phê sữa đá and it’s pretty strong. Good, but my personal preference is sweeter. This is more akin to what my own dad would like, but that just means it’s authentic.
I’m so glad I gave this place a try. Rất ngon!

It’s cold and raining and decided that some hot soup would be the thing to do . We decided that we would go to Pho Hai , across the street from Mt. Sac. on Grand Avenue . It was about 7:00p.m. the place was packed but got the last table . Was politely greeted with menus . We ordered 3 large # 4 ( sliced rare steak and brisket in beef broth with noodles ) . Less than 5 minutes later we go our soups. They were hot , and they were Very Good . I like trying out new places and this was a Great find . I will definitely be stopping here again to eat . Not just on cold rainy days . Thank You to the Staff for a
Wonderful Dinner .

The pho here was great. I have been having a harder time finding places that offer tripe around me, so just having it on the menu is a great start for me. The broth was delicious and the pho was very meaty. The daily special is fairly priced so I got that and the spring rolls that came with it. The sauce for the spring rolls was slightly bland, but I am thinking I might have altered my taste buds with the hot broth. Oops. I would definitely drive here again from Covina for their pho.

Unfussy family-owned Vietnamese restaurant. Currently open for indoor dining and takeout during covid (no outdoor seating available). It’s nestled in the plaza across of Mt Sac and there’s typically parking available in the shared lot. Bathrooms are available for customer use. Credit cards are accepted for transactions over $10 and they’ll take MasterCard/Visa.
The prices are very reasonable and they have a special as well which includes a medium bowl of pho, spring rolls, choice of drink, and flan for ~$13 + tax. The food is very fresh and tastes just like home cooking. We ordered spring rolls and those came to us fresh from the fryer to our table (so tasty). There are medium and large sizes of the noodle options available – they were super filling and came with plenty of fresh bean sprouts & basil on the side. Unfortunately they ran out of the fresh coconut when we were there, but they do have boba and other drink options. Overall, it’s a nice option for a quick meal whenever you’re craving Vietnamese food and it’s convenient for Walnut locals/Mt Sac students.

The pho was so delicious. The bowls are huge (the medium was bigger than my head) and each medium pho is worth only about 14-16 dollars.
The waiter was sooo friendly and chatted with us a bit when he wasn’t busy. The daily meal deal combo was only about 24 and it came with the pho, 2 spring rolls, and even a small, creamy dessert.
Definitely could not recommend this place more!
