It was a very authentic Vietnamese moms and pops restaurant around Snyder. Couple friends and I ordered the bun dao mam tom platter to share. I think it was a bit adventurous for my friends personally, as 2 out of 3 didn’t like the fermented shrimp sauce so much to eat with the rest of the food. I did enjoy it however, I agreed it may take a bit to get used to. The papaya salad is average, can be a bit spicier. The squab was very good! I would definitely return to try other dishes in the restaurant!

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant currently because there are so many good options here. Bún bò is a must try. It smells really good and the broth is very well-seasoned. The taste is very different from the bbh at other places. Another must try is bún mắm. Although they only have cabbage and lettuce and not the typical veggie that comes with bún mắm, it is still very good. You get roasted pork, fish, shrimp, and squid. Mì vịt tiềm is also delicious. Hủ tiếu khô is okay, it is very saucy and on the sweeter side. The meat in bún chả is tender and well seasoned, but the noodle is not that good, a bit overcooked. Also the bowl is really small so it is hard to eat. Although it is called phở cyclo, but phở here is meh. Bột chiên is decent, a bit too crispy imo. The wait time can sometimes be long and it’s a pretty small place.

The service was wonderful and very attentive and the food was wonderful. I had shrimp pho. It felt very homey like you were having dinner at your family’s house.

Super convenient to the Snyder stop, tasty, quick, and reasonably priced. We liked the tofu bahn mi. Portion was good for a light meal, but if you’re really hungry, consider getting something additional (or two bahn mi haha!)

A hidden gem of South Philly. The restaurant is old and doesn’t look much appealing, but their foods do deliver very well, the family running the place is very kind and helpful, they even recommended us what to do with the foods and drinks. Their bun dau mam tom is solid. 4 stars because the lemongrass orange drink tastes quite off. Instrumental music is good, but maybe a bit loud. The location is good tho, right out of the subway orange line. Would 100% recommend for the foods and price!

Best Bun Dau Mam Tom in Philly . It would be even better if there were some pig’s intestines as well. Will come back again .

True mom and pop kind if Vietnamese joint, and it might be my favorite in the city. The family that runs it is very kind and welcoming. The soup broth is so flavorful, you can tell it’s made with love! They don’t skimp on the noodles and the meats. The bahn mi and the spring rolls are very tasty as well. Highly recommended!

A little gem of a restaurant, small & cozy, good service and excellent food. For appetizer I ordered the Goi Cuon pork & shrimp summer rolls with peanut sauce. My main meal was the Pho Tu Chon (thin slices of tender beef & meatballs) noodle soup garnished with raw bean sprouts, fresh basil, scallions and jalapeno peppers.

Both dishes were superb. I will certainly come back for another meal and try something different.

My daughter and I were looking for somewhere to eat and saw this place on South Broad Street. The outside is not very fancy. I thought it was a little take-out cafe’. It turned out to be a nice little restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised with how great the service was. The host was very professional and polite. The music was relaxing and the food was delicious. I recommend going here if you want a nice quiet dinner in a relaxing atmosphere.
