We are a large family of well over one hundred cousins and twenty plus years of restaurant experience. We own several Vietnamese restaurants within and surrounding Calgary as well as one in Saskatchewan. We grew up a close family and shared plenty of fun times, cooking and eating our favorite foods. Absolutely amazing place to eat. The food might be considered a little bit steep but it is genuinely worth it, for 19$ I was entirely satisfied with my meal and almost wasn’t able to finish, so portions are amazing. The service was really sweet and fast, have no issues at all. If you’re in the area i highly recommend shopping for a bite!!!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. A pho restaurant in Chinatown serving broth that tastes like rice water — while holding a 4.7 rating — is honestly baffling.
I ordered the Special Pho (CAD 17.5). The meat portion was small, and the broth had a clear raw rice starch flavor, as if the noodles went straight from the pot into the bowl without being rinsed. I’ve eaten pho in many cities and countries, and this was a first. One sip also left my mouth feeling dry and oddly astringent — far from a clean, balanced pho broth.
I also tried the Special Fried Rice (CAD 19.5). The portion looks big, but at this price point I have to ask: where is the egg? Just a few tiny chopped shrimp and some chicken breast pieces, with no real wok hei. More egg and better technique would go a long way.
I truly regret choosing this restaurant.
One last detail that suddenly made everything make sense: there’s a sign on the wall saying “leave a good review for a free soft drink.”

When we first visited Calgary, we arrived downtown quite late. Pho City was still opene and was very closed to where we were staying, so we decided to give it a try. The food was good and quite authentic, and the portions worth the price. Will come back to try other items on the menu!

I ordered the brisket and tendon noodle soup at Pho City, and it was fantastic. The broth came rich and clear, the brisket tender, and the tendon perfectly soft. Everything tasted fresh and balanced. Warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying. I’ll definitely come back for another bowl.

Tried Pho City in Chinatown today and it was amazing. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles had the perfect texture. I got the spicy beef noodle soup and it hit just right not too spicy but full of depth. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh too. The place was clean, cozy, and the staff were friendly. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for authentic Vietnamese food. Highly recommend!

Pho broth was solid and came out piping hot, which was very welcome when it is -20 degrees celcius outside.
The noodles were al dente and plentiful. The regular size is a generous portion.

Hands down one of my top 3 favourite spots in the city for vermicelli. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly portioned. If you’re coming here for the first time, I highly recommend trying the B20 — you won’t be disappointed.

Five stars! We stopped in for some traditional pho and left very happy. The broth was incredibly flavorful and authentic—exactly what we were hoping for. The restaurant itself has been nicely renovated since we were last there, making for a great atmosphere. Without a doubt, one of the best pho spots in the city. Highly recommend!
