Upon entering and sat down. Waitress was a bit rushing and asked if would be ready to order. Had to explain that this is my first visit and i would need a couple of mimutes to explore the menu.
Ordered the lemongrass grilled chicken. (It might be panfried as it was dripping in oil) Rice were so hard it felt like yesterday’s left over (or whoever cooked this rice might have forgot to add enough water). Felt meh after dining and might be exploring other alternatives next time im im the area.
They also had a kids meal (for $9bucks. A scaled down verson of pho with meatballs and brisket ~~ few pieces of meat ~~ plus apple juice). Soup was abit on the lighter side. Kid didnt seem to have issue with the food other then asking if i could give him some of my chicken as it wasnt enougj for him
They charge extra for sprouts, and when we asked for extra, the serving lady said: “veges are expensive here,” really?? What a shame. All Vietnamese restaurants give extra sprouts without any fuss.
Hot Vietnamese coffee was yummy but lukewarm. Hot means hot. Hot is not lukewarm.
Even the soup was lukewarm. Why?
It’s good but not good…. Okay but not okay…. Yummy food but stingy attitude with just warm food served. A lot of room for improvements and need a big heart to serve sides for free and not charge for them. Where did the asian manners, tradition and culture gone? Greedy stingy attitude??
**Update**
Just ordered from what was my favourite pho place. Not so much anymore. They have cut the potions down drastically. One piece of ham and dried out beef. I put more meat in my kids sandwiches. I always get an extra side of the spicy broth but they didn’t deliver it and they no longer give chilli oil with the bean sprouts and hoisin baggy. Spring rolls used to be in a container to keep them crispy, now they use bags and they go soggy. I called to ask about the issues and the lady over the phone just argued with me. Maybe new management? Not sure but I will be going elsewhere from now on. Not worth 50$ at all.
