Pho Bowlevard isn’t worth the visit – settled just outside the heart of downtown Littleton, it’s in a great spot for traffic but still finds itself empty on a Friday night.
The reason for that is, of course, because of its food – the menu reads like a corporatized asian fusion restaurant and offers sushi and wontons alongside the staple Pho, a combination that disregards most standard Vietnamese cuisine, and marks their beef and tripe combination as an “adventurer’s pho.”
Menu decisions aside, the Pho comes up to only being decent. The broth is rich, but lacks the depth of spice any real Pho has in an attempt to make it more appealing to most audiences. While not necessarily a bad thing, it pulls the restaurant even further away for being a recommendation.
Their regular sizes are other Pho restaurants’ smalls, and their large is other’s regulars, all at the premium cost.
By happenstance or courtesy of the chefs, the rice noodles were mushy and overcooked.
The layout of the store is geared entirely towards take-out and pick-up, and they collect payment upfront instead of after the meal.
Everything feels washed out and corporatized instead of legitimate, aimed entirely at online orders instead of a sit-down experience.
2/10, not the absolute worst you can get around town, but fairly close.
If you’re looking this place up for a visit, I’d instead point you towards Pho Real in the heart of downtown, or if you’re willing to make a short drive, head over to Pho 9 on Bowles.
Definitely recommend pho boulevard any day of the week!
The Pho was consistent this time as last. The broth tastes like someone read a google review of a Pho place out in Kansas and tried to replicate the taste. It’s deep brown. It has an insane amount of oil floating on the top of the broth for some unknown reason.
The meat and noodles were fine but who would notice with the literal garbage broth?
Save yourself some money and drive at least 15 minutes away to get Pho as there are no good places within the area.
I’d love to speak to the owner and simply ask him to try his or her own Pho. Just try it.
I’ve always ordered to go, and by the time I get home (20-30 minutes), it’s still piping hot every time. We always order the beef, chicken, and pork fried rice. There’s also the option to get a combination of your pick.
Chefs kiss every time!
