You know that feeling when you find a perfect local spot while visiting home? That’s O’Donnell’s Pub! We went for an early 4 PM dinner, and the whole experience was top-notch.
A huge shout-out to our server, Angela! She was incredibly helpful and her recommendations were spot-on. She pointed me to the fried deviled eggs with buffalo chicken sauce, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. Creamy, crispy, with the perfect kick—truly love at first bite!
The rest of my family cleaned their plates and were all raving about their entrees. O’Donnell’s is officially on my “must-visit” list for every single time I’m back in the area. Already looking forward to my next trip!

All these reviews sound bought to me. It’s not to often I leave a bed review.
Food was gross. The fried devil eggs might look good on a plate but that’s about it. They were tasteless. Taste like they’ve been in the freezer for months. There was nothing sautéed on the pasta dish like they said it was. Warmed up tomatoes is gross, pasta had way too much garlic and that’s all you could taste. The fried bologna cheeseburger, thought it was something special. It was just a cheeseburger with a slice of fried bologna on it. Greaser than hell. Fell apart. Also tasteless. Even your Coke tasted water down! That’s pretty bad! The stuff we had was not good! No way this place is 4.7 star pub. It’s not even a hidden gem. Not even close to gem status. Wendy’s, Dunkin’ Donuts or even Sheetz would have been better. Felt bad for the server we tipped her kinda nice. The chairs I was afraid to move. I was afraid I was gonna fall through it. We didn’t even keep the pasta. I drove down to your dumpster and threw it out. $45? Nope! Way too much for gross food. Gordon Chef Ramsay would be throwing up if he ate your food. Jon Taffer would be yelling at you about how that place is rundown. I will not be recommending this place.

We were skeptical at first, though after our appetizer order of drunken devil eggs and our main course .. I highly recommend this place and no we weren’t paid too say this. Very friendly waitress and she might have been the owner. We would definitely come back again!

Just happened to be in town and needed a place to get dinner, so glad we stopped here!!!!! The (server recommended) pork shank was amazing!! The vegetable pasta was excellent. Our server couldn’t possible have been nicer. She even went out of her way to get us directions to where we were going. If we ever get back this way, O’Donnell’s is definitely a stop!!

We stumbled across this friendly neighborhood pub while spending the night in Connellsville and were thrilled we did. Allison C, our waitress, was charming and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our dinners–I had the Corned Beef Reuben salad; my wife the Grilled Chicken–but the best part was the Guinness Chocolate cake with Irish whiskey frosting! Absolutely delicious! Serving sizes were large, and the prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend.

One of the best sweet potato fries we’ve ever had in a while. A cozy Irish pub in the middle of Conneslville with an incredible menu and a friendly staff. Five stars to the cook who prepared a gluten free pasta for my wife without being it in their menu—we provided the pasta and they made it. I had the glazed salmon and it was tasty as I expected.

Caught wind of this place on GAP, gave it a try and food was amazing. Coming from farm to fork cap in CA, shamefully, we are a bit discerning but this place was a most pleasant surprise after 5 days of blahish cuisine in other small towns along the C&O towpath and GAP.

We’re riding the GAP. We ate on the deck watching the train switch yard. Service was very good. We had the deviled eggs, perogies, pork shank, salmon salad and steak dishes. Everyone was very pleased with the food. The deviled eggs are a must!

I definitely expected a dive when I first peeped this spot. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. It’s not quite a dive but definitely low key, which I like.

Had a french toast burger that was perfectly executed. The kid had swordfish that was priced well under what I would have expected, and the grilled salmon in the s/o’s salad was expertly cooked to the desired mid rare requested.

It was the best food experience of the trip.
