This bowl of special beef pho was outstanding. The broth was clear yet deeply flavorful, with a rich beef aroma that showed it had been simmered for hours, but without being greasy. The beef selection was generous and well-prepared — tender rare beef, chewy beef tendon, and tripe that was clean and perfectly textured, with no off-putting smell.
The rice noodles were smooth and springy, holding the broth well without becoming soggy. Fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and chili added brightness and balance to each bite. Even without adding extra sauce, the flavor was already well-rounded; a touch of fish sauce or chili elevated it even further.
Overall, this is a well-executed, authentic bowl of pho with great ingredients and attention to detail. Highly recommended, and definitely worth coming back for.
Every dish feels deeply rooted in heritage yet incredibly fresh. The Stir-Fried Rice Noodles were a textural dream: perfectly seared beef, crisp veggies, and chewy rice noodles, all tossed in a rich, savoury sauce. The Oxtail Noodle Soup was a standout: soul-soothing broth, fall-off-the-bone meat, and that deep umami that only long-simmered bones can give.
The Mango Fresh Rolls were vibrant and light, a refreshing contrast to the heartier mains. On the drink side, the Coco Vietnamese Cold Brew was silky, smooth, and perfectly balanced between coconut creaminess and bold coffee. The Matcha Coconut Refresher felt like sipping a tropical breeze – light, cooling, and not overly sweet.
And for dessert, the Three Colours was as nostalgic as it was fun: chewy jellies, creamy coconut milk, and a touch of sweetness: the kind of dessert that brings comfort with every spoonful.
Pho Anh Vu captures the soul of Vietnamese food in a way that’s both comforting and elevated. It’s the kind of place you return to, not just for the food, but for the feeling. Warmly recommended!

The grilled pork vermicilli was really good, loved the meat and how thin they shredded the carrots and lettuce. Hate how some places have the carrots so thick. Wish they added more tho, it was barely anything. Also the plate it came with was so small and it was so hard to mix or eat without causing a mess or food spilling out.
