My family loves the pho.
We asked multiple times and they say they are halal every time. (though the website and menu don’t say)
I usually get the chicken Tikka masala. The Tai tea is great the kids love it. The pho is also great and the family eats that.
Naan is good but the last time it was very very thin. The cheese Naan is the best because it’s thickener with the cheese.
They don’t have fountain soda, which means you can get Pepsi/coke (can) they have both.
They also have Gulab jamun and kheer.
The lady was rude and not polite and the guy was also rude… they act like they’re nice on their social media but when I walked in they were just RUDE…. they have a terrible fried rice and need to work on their costumer service.
Note: I wanted to show a picture of the fried rice so you can obviously see the shrimp is lower quality and dry and also that the beef is flavorless and dry as well. Don’t like to give bad reviews but I’m definitely not going back.
First of all, this is a pho Indian restaurant, so ordering Mongolian beef already felt like a bold life choice. Turns out it was the correct one. The beef was tender, saucy, perfectly sweet-and-savory, and so good it made me briefly forget what cuisine I was even eating.
Each bite had me thinking, “Who approved this level of deliciousness?” It’s the kind of dish that makes you stop talking, nod slowly, and stare at your plate like it just told you a secret. I don’t know how Mongolian beef ended up here, but I’m not asking questions—I’m just ordering it again.
Came for noodles. Stayed for the beef. Left full, happy, and slightly confused in the best possible way. Five stars. Would absolutely betray my pho order again.
They do not offer ice for their drinks, which is a bit peculiar – but when they’re serving condensed milk and thai teas, they really need some form of ice or at least chilled milk.
The part that really threw me for a loop was the Goat Tikka Masala, as it was two parts bone to one part goat, and the bones were scattered throughout. The meat had some flavor, and the presentation was wonderful, but every single bite had fragmented chunks and shards of bone. I was honestly more worried about chipping a tooth. I’m not talking rib size bones, but actual fragmented bone the size of sunflower seeds. Even being gentle, I ended up inadvertently cutting my gums navigating through the sharp shards and fragments.
My significant other had oxtail pho which, by her own admission, was a bit bland in relation to several of the other spots around Anchorage.
Nice service from the attentive staff, but due to the food quality – we won’t be back.
The pho was really good, though we did not receive bean sprouts, which was very disappointing. If we had been informed ahead of time, it wouldn’t have been so bad. But to discover it missing when we were looking for it caused a few tantrums. They also under-filled one of the broth containers, but I saw it on the counter and asked about it and they topped it off to the fill line. Nice service recovery there.
I could not see any cheese on the gacheenaan. I wonder if we received a garlic naan instead? There is a price difference, though less of a deal to me than other issues.
The chicken korma was alright though not my favorite in town. I prefer another local restaurant’s korma sauce but was happy to try this one too.
The goat tikka masala was not recommendable bordering on dangerous. We had 6 people eating and there was less than 6 pieces of meat. There were a lot more than 6 chunks of bone though, including shards, fragments, and full sized vertebrae. Will be warning everyone about the free paleontology set that comes with dinner, some excavation required.
The veggie samosa was pretty good. They sprinkled a seasoning mix on the outside that made them smell delectable. The inside wasn’t my favorite seasoning blend but it was at least edible.
I picked up our food to go, and there was a child in a corner table by themselves with a tablet watching cartoons and playing games. I assumed it was the owner’s child (since it’s winter break) but maybe we could get them some headphones? I listened to the games from across the room and figured out the sounds it makes if you miss/get whatever needed to be tapped. The tv in the restaurant was playing a 5min loop of some song in a foreign language with a lady with a braid in her hair watering a garden and then a different image, and then back to the watering. I was in there for approximately 25-30min and nodded to a DoorDash driver who was picking up an order for someone else. The lady running the counter was working very hard. The man who was in the kitchen cooking did come to the window to look at me (not in a friendly way) when I asked about the broth fill line (there was a row of broth containers and one of mine was significantly lower. Couldn’t not ask)
Overall, quite bummed out about today’s experience and will not be back. If you love them you should go back though. They seem to be trying
A good value for the amount of food that’s served. Don’t miss out. The workers or owners were very nice & welcoming.
