I’m so happy that there’s another Vietnamese restaurant in town. Their chicken pho was delicious with tender thick slices of chicken (about 5 pieces). It was filling and steaming hot — perfect for a cold rainy day. I also had the ginger lemon tea and guess what? There’s really ginger and lemon in the tea. Then I ordered a pork banh mi sandwich, which was generous in size and the filling. Each place does it differently so worth trying out both restaurants. This is a small place with a couple who are doing everything. Even so, the service was quick and friendly. So, after your walk on the walkway juts walk down the block and you’ll see it on your right in a yellow building.

The best Vietnamese food I’ve had in Poughkeepsie. The Vietnamese omelette was crispy and well seasoned, the pho was perfect for a snowy, cold day. The service was great, cannot recommend this place enough.

Amazing pho, crispy egg rolls and corn pudding!! Very flavorful, clean broth with tender beef. The crispy egg rolls were fried perfectly with fresh lettuce. Lots of care put into the food and everyone was so friendly. My new to-go Vietnamese restaurant.

The loveliest, sweetest family and some of the very best Vietnamese food, especially the pho + bun bo hue – in the Hudson Valley! So warm, welcoming, nourishing and full of flavor. We live up in the Kingston-area and will have no problem making regular visits here 🙂 Thank you!

Very sweet owners! Vegan options! the homemade honey-ginger tea and the house sauce (in a cute crock) were the perfect accompaniments to my bahn mi. Great place when running errands in downtown POK…or before/after a walk on the walkway over the Hudson (one block away). And, There is a guitar available in the dining room for anyone to play.

The food is very good and authentic taste. The staffs are very friendly and nice. Even the sign said closed at 8pm, so many people came at 7:45pm and the owners still welcoming the customers and serve them. I will definitely come back and try the Pho and other food.

Placed a takeout order while in the area. They seemed a little confused and frazzled when I went to pick it up but everything I ordered was correct. The dumplings and the pho with brisket were great and really hit the spot. The bun didn’t hit quite the same for me but was still very good. I would definitely return again.

Pho 96 has been open two months, and it’s a great addition to the Poughkeepsie dining scene. There are eight tables and the vibe is casual and welcoming. We came for lunch and had a combo pho and the grilled pork bánh mì. The sandwich was killer, perfect bread, tasty meat and pickled vegetables; best I’ve found in the surrounding area. Pho is meant to be enjoyed freshly made so you have to eat in. Delicious. We also had the yummy lemongrass tofu appetizer. Will be back to try more soon! Edit: Just tried the vegan banh mi and it was delicious too! It did have fresh jalapeno slices so you could ask to leave off if that’s not your style.
