My favorite place to get pho in the College Park area! Great prices, delicious food, good portions, and friendly staff. My sister and I come here almost every weekend, and have gotten to know the owners who are very friendly! Would highly recommend!

Pho 88 is my happy place. Rainy day? Pho 88. Cold winter evening? Pho 88. Middle of summer and 90 degrees? Yep… still Pho 88

It’s a small, no-frills spot with plenty of tables, but the star is the broth, liquid gold, pure comfort, the kind of flavor that makes you close your eyes for a second bite. There are pho places closer to my house, but my taste buds refuse to settle for anything less, so we make the trip every time.

The staff? Same friendly faces since our first visit years ago, which just makes the whole experience feel like coming home. Pho 88, you’ve officially ruined all other pho for me… and I’m not even mad about it.

1 of my many stops to try different phở in the DMV. this establishment offers a quaint, basic setting for your main Vietnamese dishes: soup, rice, and vermicelli.

had the #1, or special I believed. it was good. nothing overwhelming nor spectacular. not as rich and lacking phở flavor from the spices. I did appreciate the variety of cuts of meat.

also had the Vietnamese iced coffee. again, good but nothing spectacular. didn’t taste as strong of a coffee flavor nor deep sweetness of the condensed milk.

overall: a good place to stop by if you’re in the area but doesn’t really hit the mark for any wow factor

This wasn’t my first time coming here, but it will definitely be my last.

To start, my bowl and plate were dirty. There was a black substance on them, and when I pointed it out, the man serving me tried to say it came from the leaves. That explanation didn’t make sense, especially since he wasn’t wearing gloves and then tried to quickly rub it off before I could even grab a napkin to check it myself.

The spring rolls tasted old, or the oil they were fried in was old, and they immediately made my stomach hurt. The chicken was dry and had a strange flavor, which reminded me why I stopped coming here in the first place.

When I shared my concerns with the owner, she seemed completely uninterested. The husband who handed me the dirty plate couldn’t even deny that it was dirty.

Sanitation is extremely important, and seeing raw meat juice on my bowl of cooked chicken, along with unexplained black residue on my dish, is completely unacceptable. I came here because I wasn’t feeling well, and I didn’t want to make it worse by continuing to eat.

I will not be back.
10/10 do not recommend. There are much better pho spots nearby with cleaner environments and better broth.

Fair price and actually good pho with chili oil! And not just sriracha! There’s nothing worse than going to a pho restaurant asking for spice and they bring out a bottle of sriracha. But thankfully that isn’t the case here. Everyone is very friendly, comes out quick and the prices are fair. #4 (large) + spring rolls is the best in my opinion but I like a full plate.

It’s a cute place! The people who work there are super nice and the food was phenomenal. One of the dishes I got contained grilled shrimp and usually most places don’t season the shrimp but they did and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Pho was pretty good. I had carry out this time and the people were nice enough to give me extra sprouts to leave with. The summer rolls are nice and fat. I wish they had more cabbage than rice noodles but it was still good.

We had the standard beef soup and spring rolls. It was fantastic the place is small but nice tables and clean. Owner is a great guy. Dress as you like seat yourself. Chef makes spring rolls himself and they are the best I think I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!!!

First time experience here at Pho 88 and it was good. Upon entering, they dont take you to a table and so you can sit where ever you want. Also since this is the case, it takes them a bit to realize you are even there in the first place. The service was nice and polite. We ordered the Fresh Garden Rolls which are primarily lettuce. They have one piece of shrimp and a bit of meat (This is if you order them to be cut in half). Be aware that they DO NOT cut the rolls in half when bringing it, and if you do ask them to cut it they won’t bring it back until the rest of your food is ready. The Pho was like any other pho restaurant, except I kinda felt like the noodles were a little overcooked since some would break off when I tried to lift it with my chopsticks. The Pork chops were good but could’ve been better. I just feel like there wasn’t much seasoning on it and kinda tasted bland. Also small bits of bone hide in the meat which caused my teeth to ache miserably and I swear it felt like I needed a dentist right away. Besides almost cracking my teeth I say the pork chops were good. Bathrooms were a bit dirty but only the floor and the restaurant area is mostly clean. I will visit here again, and this time order the rolls cut in half .
