Pho 5-10 in Castro Valley is poised to become your new go-to spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. A proud offshoot of Le Cheval—an East Bay staple with decades of Vietnamese culinary legacy—Pho 510 brings refined flavors to the Castro Valley Marketplace.
This upcoming restaurant specializes in time-honored classics like pho, spring rolls, and banh mì sandwiches. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared using the freshest ingredients and cooked with minimal oil and sugar, leaning heavily on bright, crisp vegetables. The menu also caters to dietary preferences and restrictions, offering plenty of options for vegetarians and those looking for lighter fare.

Went here for the first time the other day and had an awesome experience! The Vietnamese iced coffee was strong, but really good. I got the pork vermicelli bowl and it was super good. We also got the brisket and pork banh mi, which my parents loved. We ordered the chicken wings that were supposed to come in fried garlic, but they didn’t have any seasoning at all. We asked to get them tossed in some sauce but they said they would have to change the order, which sucked, but maybe my parents and I just misinterpreted the menu. Overall though, it was an amazing place and everything was perfect!

Being in the marketplace, the ambience here is definitely not your typical Vietnamese restaurant vibe. The food fortunately remains authentic tasting!
I got the P37 pho which has all my favorite meat cuts and the broth is good! Hubby’s lemongrass shrimp was just ok though, something I feel like we could’ve made at home.
The Vietnamese iced coffee was good but the condensed soda egg is maybe an acquired taste since this was one of those times I wish I wasn’t as adventurous lol.

This was my first time here and it was a wonderful experience. I was greeted right away with a warm welcoming smile by the owner, Crystal. I waited for my friend to arrive, she recommend this place. My friend was nervous because she knows I leave reviews and she was hoping I would be pleased! The food was delicious, great flavor and the meat melted in my mouth. I loved that I didn’t have to work to chew my meat and I could easily enjoy it with the noodles. I ordered #34 (Brisket and steak) and A6(crispy fried shrimp eggrolls). And OMG…the lemonade is fenomenal! I could tell immediately that it was fresh squeezed. It’s mixed with something carbonated, but it’s very subtle. It doesn’t make you burp like soda. I asked for the red pepper paste because I love spicy foods. My friend and I were there so long just cracking up and enjoying eachothers company, the owner, Crystal offered and provided us a snack. Then, one of the young waiters, Mathew, brought it out to us and was teasing us! He was like, “How are you guys STILL here?!” He even remembered my friend from when she picked up an order to-go back in November! Wow! The ambiance and decor were a delight, so cheerful yet subtle, not overwhelming. The Puerto Rican restaurant next to use got lively and the music added an extra pazazz to our evening. We were told me might as well stay until they closed! Haha! We didn’t, but we will absolutely be back.

Loved this pho place! The soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavor, exactly what good pho should be. Both of us and our kids really enjoyed it, which says a lot. The service was super friendly and quick, and the place itself was clean and pleasant to sit in. Overall, a great experience and we’ll definitely be back for another round of delicious pho soon!

They have a slogan here…Eat Healthy, Leave Happy…or something like that lol. But the food is delicious and fresh and not smothered in sauces. My lunch was delicious! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Im looking forward to another visit.

Had dinner here for the first time last night. Got the pho dac biet, shrimp spring rolls, chicken banh mi and a vietnamese iced coffee. Everything was sooooo good, including the service! Their iced coffee was surprisingly good. And I say that as a coffee nerd.
The ambiance is fantastic from the second floor. Depending on where you sit, you have a view of the whole building and bottom floor.

New pho spot in the Castro Valley market. While on the pricier side for a bowl of pho, the volume and size of the pho actually makes it worth it. It’s a great bowl of pho (we got p37) – packed with ribeye, brisket, flank and tripe. The combo grilled pork chop was good (flavored) but a little overcooked.
Service was also great: attentive and kind. They regularly checked in and were efficient with our asks (extra bowl to share, take out for remainders, water).
Definitely would come back!

I ordered the Pho with meatballs and ribeye, along with garlic fries — and everything was outstanding! The broth was perfectly balanced, the meatballs were flavorful, and the ribeye was incredibly tender. Probably the best Pho I’ve ever had! The garlic fries were also top-notch — crispy, garlicky, and fresh. Service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming.
Highly recommended!

We have all been eagerly awaiting the opening of this new pho restaurant in the Castro Valley Marketplace, and it did not disappoint! Loved the free Thai iced tea or Vietnamese coffee with each purchase until August 1. Excited to be able to eat here with our family when we go to Fearless karate next door.
