This is the best Pho I’ve ever tried in America. It reminds me of the Pho we had every morning in Vietnam. The rolls dipped in the sauce are also absolutely incredible. But my favorite thing about this place is how warm the owners are. After helping us with recommendations from the menu he came over to use to check in how we were enjoying the food, and was so friendly when speaking with us about our travels in Vietnam. He immediately recognized us the second time we came back to try Bun Cha and we really appreciated that hospitality. By far one of my favorite restaurants in Arizona. Make sure to come here and check out their delicious Pho.

A coworker recommended Pho 43 to me, and today was my chance to come have lunch. Their hours are very limited for me being 9AM-5PM. Plus it’s a bit of the drive coming from Surprise. It’s worth the drive. I started with their egg rolls (pork), for lunch I ordered the Pho Tom (shrimp), and to drink the Thai Tea. Everything is fresh. The egg rolls, though small, were very nice with a crisp shell and flavorful stuffing. Three rolls to an order. The Pho was very flavorful and full of rice noodles. Only part that I lost appeal on is the shrimp — the tails left on, and were overcooked. The tea was refreshing, and a nice palate cleanser. Coming here you’ll find parking may be a challenge. The restaurant was quite busy for lunch. Inside it’s clean, and a bit cramped. A lot of regulars. The staff knew quite a few, and service was quite good. They’re almost like an honor system… no check brought to the table. Just walk up to the register and pay. I cannot comment on the condition of the restroom, for I didn’t visit the facilities. It’s a very nice restaurant. One you should try if looking for authentic Vietnamese food. Keep in mind the hours they’re open; and they’re closed on Tuesdays (I believe?). My check came to $27+change after tax. The portions are generous and I took leftovers with me.

Best Pho, amazing people, cozy vibe. The place is small but that makes it so much better. Worth the wait no matter how long it is. Been here a couple times and I’ll be back again no doubt! Great family business I love supporting!

After being told it’s the best around, I had to give it a try for myself and it did not disappoint! From the vibe inside, to the music, to the food it was all amazing! I’ll be back! The Pho was delicious, the egg rolls are some of the best and the spring rolls x2 were a hit!

This review, although long, is being left by a true Foodie, as most of you are that are reading it.
I’ve been able to eat pho in California, Hawaii, parts New England, New Mexico, Florida, Nevada and here in the great state of Arizona. This doesn’t make me a guru of pho. It just means I really enjoy pho so my palate is obviously going to be different than most .
I’ve also been a server and wait on people for about 12 years, prior to my current career, so this review comes from many different standpoints and understanding of how customers should be treated when eating in you’re establishment.
We were greeted by the owner, tall buff gentleman with glasses, and things started off well. This small family owned restaurant had a pleasant vibe at first full of people. Good smells and the clitter clack of the kitchen and utensils being used and the pleasant sound of slurping.
We ordered hot coffee, delicious. Grilled pork spring rolls which were delicious. Also ordered the fried spring rolls which were hot and scrumptious.
The pho, Jumbo Bowl, overall could have used the little bit more depth and oomph but was not bad, definitely not better than Da Vangs(or overall food quality)
The wife got a seafood noodle dish which for me lacked flavor, although the spice level was spot on.
So overall I would give the food experience a 3.3.
So that there’s an understanding of my LONG review and rant, as stated above I waited tables and served people for quite a long time. So I have a thing about cleaning up my table no matter what restaurant I go to in any state.
Whether or not that be organizing my plates in one pile, putting all silverware and use napkins in a cup or on the plate and I even wipe down my own table most of the time, it’s the server in me. And not one person at any restaurant has ever been offended that I did that.
So I was very disappointed when I went to help dump my plate and was reprimanded by the owner’s daughter.
This wasn’t the typical “Oh Thank you sir but you don’t have to do that” type of pleasant attitude.
This was a reprimanding unnecessary and uncalled for, especially if a good tip is the end goal outside of paying your bill.
Overall, I’m not sure that I would ever go back or recommend this spot over a couple others here in the state like Da Vangs or even Saigon Pho and Seafood.
Pho 43 has a great following and people seem to like it so please try ( I guess I just recommended it ) and leave a review but also give one of the best pho’s in town a try, Da Vangs!

We have been coming for years. If you eat in the restaurant, the food is great! Service can be good depending who is working. But I recently told some coworkers about this place and we ordered takeout and idk if this was just a one-off situation but they give you raw/hard pho noodles that you literally have to cook yourself because the broth wont be hot enough to do it. If you see my photo you can tell the noodles are uncooked so we had to microwave for 5 mins. It was unusual so be warned. The point of takeout is to eat ready-made food lol. ANYWAY. The grilled pork spring rolls were worth this inconvenience tho, they are so good. It was $67 for 3 orders of steak pho and 3 orders of spring rolls.
