Reviews
First, in my personal opinion, the soup was a bit too salty, but that was manageable by focusing more on the noodles. Second, the Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls were actually delicious.
What was truly disappointing, however, was the charge for bean sprouts and herbs. We were a party of four for our table, yet only one plate was initially provided, so we asked for more. At most pho restaurants, bean sprouts and herbs are included and not charged per person. We did not ask for an extra side…but only for what is normally included with the noodles. Despite this, we were charged $1.50 per person, totaling $4.50.
If there was an additional charge, this should have been clearly communicated to us beforehand. Being charged without prior notice felt misleading and left us disappointed. Transparency about extra charges is essential, and clearly informing customers in advance is a key practice for building trust and sustaining a long-term business.
If this restaurant operates differently and requires customers to order them separately, that should be clearly explained at the time of ordering. There was no notice, no explanation, and no mention of an additional charge. The pho was served with the sprouts and herbs anyway, yet I was charged an extra $1.50 for each.
Considering the base price of the pho was already on the high side, this felt unreasonable and misleading. On top of that, the broth was extremely salty.
Overall, a disappointing experience. I will not be returning.
The soup is one of the best in the county and the broth is always flavorful and consistent every visit. My go to is the #16 with round steak and meatball but I’ve had many if the meat combinations, all great.
Recently tried something new in the broken rice plates and wonton soup, both great as well and it was nice to try new dishes.
Would definitely recommend you check them out if you’re looking for good Vietnamese food in Ventura county.
The pho itself was nothing short of phenomenal. I ordered the classic beef pho with rare steak and brisket, and the broth was rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced—clearly simmered for hours with just the right blend of spices. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime on the side added such a vibrant touch. I also tried their spring rolls, which were crispy, fresh, and paired perfectly with the peanut dipping sauce.
The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. I also loved the little touches, like the option to customize spice levels and the beautifully presented garnishes. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the service was quick without feeling rushed.
Whether you’re a pho aficionado or trying it for the first time, Pho 100 is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next bowl! Highly recommend!
