I stopped by Philly Flavors in Railroad Square yesterday and WOW… I am still thinking about that cheesesteak! It was hands-down one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Tallahassee. The flavor, the seasoning, the freshness — everything was on point.
What really made the experience special was the atmosphere and the people. It’s a true family-owned spot run by a wonderful husband-and-wife team, and you can feel the care they put into every order. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better.
The sandwich was so good that my two daughters were tearing it apart like wild animals (that’s the ultimate kid approval ). That alone says everything!
This is the kind of local gem you want to support. Great food, great people, and a genuine small-business vibe. I already know this is going to be my once-a-week stop from now on.
Highly recommend the cheesesteak — you won’t regret it!

We tried the water ice here and it was amazing!! So beyond refreshing and delicious, perfect for walking around railroad square on a sunny day. Didn’t try the food since we had just eaten unfortunately but everything looked great. The couple that owns Philly Flavors was the absolute nicest and continued to offer us free samples, chat about our day, and even joke around about what it’s like to work there and what water ice is! My boyfriend even went back for seconds! The cotton candy and the pink lemonade were my favorite!

We waited 43 minutes for two beef cheesesteaks, and an order of fries. Flavor was good on the cheesesteak, but within two minutes of waiting to open the container in the car, the bread was so soggy. It was falling apart and disintegrating so very disappointed in the plating of it because it was in about an 1/2 inch thick of juice.

Best Cheesesteak in Tally! They use authentic amoroso rolls from Philly and they don’t skimp on the meat. Thank God it’s a 30 min drive for me .

Best Philly I have ever had! Phillies are made fresh to order, so it takes a minute, but they are so worth the wait! Also, the flavored ice drinks are great! The kids loved them! The owners/operators were very friendly and accommodating. Located in historic Railroad Square. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

I visited my cousin in Philadelphia a couple years ago, and I had finally got an authentic Philly cheesesteak. I no longer have to fly to Philadelphia to get that experience. From the cheesecake down to the water ice, you will not be disappointed. This is definitely my go to spot before a FAMU basketball game. I highly recommend Philly Flavors at Railroad Square.
