I was born and raised in Oklahoma, but spent 11 of the last 12 years in Philadelphia. I consider myself a cheesesteak connoisseur. This is definitely a great Okie spin on a Northeast classic. At Phat Phill’s the meat is thicker and more seasoned, as well as the bread is a little different. Lots of meat, good proportions, and the bread held up! (If you know, you know.)

My husband and I try to find Philly cheesesteak places anytime we travel. SO GLAD to find Phat Philly’s on our way through Tulsa. Delicious classic cheesesteak and waffle fries and super friendly staff! Not to mention, they’re open really late, so you can enjoy a midnight snack after your night on the town! I’m a Yankee & this was absolutely the worst Philly I’ve ever had! Blech! Edited to respond to comment: Not shaved steak, wrong cheese, too much bell pepper, not enough onion, & the ground steak was bland & greasy. Go do an internship up north to perfect your recipe. Been eating these things for over 50 years. Best place to have them in OK is Weatherford.

Food was definitely good, I just wish their signature philly had a little more onion and pepper in it. The chicken philly had a great ratio of onion and pepper to meat! The beef was also more like chopped shreds vs the regular philly meat I’m accustomed to. It wasnt bad, but I think the standard meat is juicier. Fries and tots have a delicious seasoning blend on them. Service was great, atmosphere was nice enough. Just my opinion, I’m no philly expert.

The cook was yelling at some of the staff. Very unprofessional. The lady who took my order answered the phone and gave it to the cook who said not now and she said it was the boss. Idk this just seemed strange and uncomfortable. She was very nice and the food was not up to its usual standards. I will go back because in the past this place is always fun and the food was good. I won’t let one subpar experience deter me from trying again.
