Independent joint behind an unassuming storefront offering a range of old-school & inventive donuts.

This place has potential but missed the mark for me. I had their apple fritter and old fashioned donuts since most of the other choices were simply donuts with toppings which isn’t my favorite.
The fritter was great as an iced donut but I didn’t taste any apple at all.
The old fashioned was too soft on the outside and lacked that crunchy outside you expect from a sour cream donut.

Wow. I was skeptical when I walked in because to be honest the place is a bit run down and behind the counter was quite a mess, and there was a bit of smoke in air from something having been burnt… Anyways! Selection was pretty low, even at 930am on a Tuesday. I got the cinnamon roll and hot damn, it went right into my top 3 favorite donuts list! So light and fluffy and the best part was it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. Perfect amounts of cinnamon and a nice thin glaze… The price was very reasonable, only $2 and change for something so delicious! I’ll absolutely be back! Highly recommend trying!

We walked down to try these donuts before heading to the arch for the day. We got there early, and they still had a good selection of donuts. I had a lemon donut, which was really good, and the glaze didn’t leave that weird film on your teeth like some other chain restaurant donuts. The cake donuts were also good and soft. Atmosphere was basically just kinda run down inside, bathroom was out of order and they didn’t have any almond milk options. So I would suggest going and grabbing some donuts as they are delicious and walk to a different cafe to grab a coffee and enjoy in one of the parks around the city.

Good for a fast snack! Enjoy self-made fresh donuts and more!
Coffee was OK. No hot chocolate available, but cold one.
Not expensive! So recommended!
The inside look although could be better.
Positive is, that you can watch the bakers make donuts! ✨️

I feel sad writing this review, as this place was shaping up to be a fairly solid five star for me. There’s a gentleman who works the register on rare occasions who is one of the nicest people I’ve met. There’s also a very nice younger girl who works there as well. The donuts are very good here, with some occasional off days, which happens when you make things from scratch. There’s one person there who handles things a little rough and results in crushed donuts or donuts mushed together when getting multiple. The poor rating; however, owes itself to an altercation recently where a new person was behind the counter. She was trying to rush through the people in the line and was doing multiple things at once. This ended with her grabbing the wrong donut for a coworker. Instead of a simple apology, she instead spoke very condescending to him and pointed out that he should have been more specific. Evidently, a “pink donut with white icing drizzle” that he said, is easily mistaken for “strawberry cream cheese”. We then found out he was charged extra. Another coworker asked if he was going to be refunded to which we were told he would not be because it was his fault for telling her the wrong donut. She continued to be extremely rude and condescending. I have been to this place 2-3 times a week along with my coworkers. I have had friends and family go here. Unfortunately, that will not continue if this is the way they treat extremely tiny issues that would not be a problem anywhere else.

This little hidden gem in St. Louis is everything you’d want from a local mom-and-pop donut shop. The donuts were incredibly fresh and delicious, paired perfectly with a simple cup of black coffee. The shop has a slightly run-down vibe, and the area might feel a little sketchy, but that’s part of the charm – it’s authentic, unpretentious, and clearly loved by locals. The service was friendly and the staff are funny. For what you’d expect from a local mom and pop shop, they’re doing awesome, and I love supporting small businesses like this! Definitely worth a visit.

I’ve eaten Pharaoh’s Donuts a bunch. Probably the best donuts in St Louis.
Today I walked in to buy some donuts with my little dog (I live downtown) and was immediately told, no dogs.
Not a dog friendly place. I was totally bummed but there you are, no donuts for me. Probably won’t go back.

Occasionally a fine donut store. The Quality of the donuts can vary but are usually very good. Sadly the quality in service really varies. What was a mix up in communication over which donuts I wanted to purchase, instead of figure out a resolution the staff escalated and insisted any confusion is solely on the customer. I had paid more for a donut that what I was getting but a refund was out of the question. It wasn’t a big enough of a cash difference to really squabble about but the very insincere “have a WONDERFUL rest of your day” from the 2 staff members as I was on my way out the door was beyond wild to me.

The staff was so friendly and kind! Not just that but the donuts are amazing definitely in my top 3 donut places I’ve ever had! The cinnamon roll was so good I split it with 3 people at a convention. We all went to get donuts there the next morning! I had the cinnamon roll, lemon, Bavarian, strawberry filled, and apple fritter and none of them disappointed!
