Im originally from Vegas, and this is the juiciest brisket ever had, not super overly smokey but the flavor it all there. The fries are very crunchy just how I like them and the cornbread is not dry and has a good sweetness to it, and the green beans are good! Definitely a place you should stop by if you love some BBQ

Great tasting French fries. Oh did I mention the sandwich I forgot about it until I ate all the fries first. Then bonus time for the brisket sandwich. Just wished I had more fries to eat with the sandwich. A great recommendation from a customer at my store (Plus smoke shop). Thank you

I recently ate at Petty’s. The area is definitely underserved for quality BBQ, so this is your spot to get your BBQ fix. I highly recommend the chicken. All the sides are good and their cobbler is absolute dynamite. Reasonable prices as BBQ goes. Very friendly group behind the counter!

This place looks nice and has great potential. But we left very disappointed today. The employees behind the counter were working really slow and seemed very unorganized. There were no customers there when we walked into the place. It still took 30 mins to get our food. That in and of itself was not the issue. But the food wasn’t being freshly cooked so it should have gotten plated alittle faster. The sides were phenomenal. But the meat could use some love. On my combo plate the brisket was all fat, and I couldn’t eat it. It turned my stomach. The one kid behind the counter didn’t speak up so you could barely understand him. He kept telling us to hold on for a minute for our beers and dessert. The beer and dessert never came and after being there for an hour we ended up leaving without ever receiving the 2 beers 2 cobblers and banana pudding we ordered and paid for. Also to note the frozen drinks were not frozen and the card reader was not working. We fly out tomorrow so we won’t be back, but wish I could say we had a better experience here.

I would have gave 3 1/2 Stars if I could. The meat was good but a bit skimp. Only 1 rib and only 2 slices of brisket. Not much sausage and the pulled pork wasn’t pulled. The pinto beans were good, but not exceptional. The potatoe salad was the same. The bar b q sauce was decent. The bacon holapinio wraps were pretty good. The food could have been a little warmer.

My mother ,grandpa and I decided we wanted to try somewhere new so we headed to Petty’s BBQ in killeen from copperas cove.
I have to say we absolutely loved everything ,they were super busy with not a lot of workers so yes it did take awhile for our food but I rather good food take awhile than eat nasty food sent out quickly.
The mustard BBQ sauce was so freaking good on my loaded fries & the regular sauce on the ribs.
Sitting in there eating you could see they are a busy business and that every loves the food.

I ordered ribs brisket mac and cheese and green beans. The only thing I enjoyed was the Mac and cheese. The brisket tasted like pot roast without seasoning. The ribs also were overcooked and under seasoned. Tge green beans were soggy and not edible. I hope that this was just a bad day for the cook and not an everyday representation of how they handle business. Oh and the corn bread had the consistency of a sponge. Hopefully yall change things up we need good bbq in downtown killeen.

Man, i wanted to love this place. We’ve been on a roadtrip for the whole day and all we could think about was bbq. sadly (and even more sad now, Young’s BBQ was closed) so we had to find a new spot. We found Pettys in Killeen and had semi high hopes because of the 900 reviews and pretty good food on their website.

what a disappointment. we walked in and no one was in there. the workers didn’t greet us. we stood at the counter for about 6 minutes and this sad older man comes and as bluntly as possible asked us for the order.

i ordered a Combo with brisket and sausage with some sides of pinto beans and green beans. for 21 dollars. my dad got a mild sausage with cucumber kimchi (weird) and potato salad.

now as a texan i’ve grown custom to good barbecue. we barbecue at home. our neighbors barbecue. we live right next to hutchins, so we KNOW good barbecue. this doesn’t even come close to what i would qualify as “good”.

this was a sad step up from what a middle school cafeteria would call barbecue. i received sad thin slices of unseasoned brisket. cardboard thin. the sausage tasted like an attempt at what a person who’s never tasted spicy sausage thought it would taste like. all of the food was lukewarm. the greens and pinto beans were decent, but my mom can make better.

it was really a disgrace to texas barbecue. if a person from the north came and that was their first impression of barbecue, let me tell you they would run back to their little mountain town crying because wow, that was awful. we got the worst barbecue in all of texas. genuinely.

as i’m driving home the one thing i’m thinking is “i hope no one ever comes here”. sorry, but it’s true.

Please nobody go to the one on Rancier! I ordered a Sandwich and fries, Not only was I the only customer there at the time, It took literally 20min for them to make it, U would have thought the three workers had just smoked a joint or something that’s how slow they were moving! Then when I finally got my food the bun was so dry and the meet was so dry u might as well had been chewing on a bunch of rubber bands!

Food was bland. Greens tasted like out of the can. Mac and cheese was sticky but not cheesy tasting. The meat I have no idea. I didn’t taste. I was done after tasting the two sides. The Barbeque sauce was bland. I used the one I had in my fridge from the store. Wouldn’t recommend. And not going back
