Have heared about Petit Jean meats for years. Bought a gift pack and the rind on the ham was so tough you could not eat it. But the summer sausage was at least 50% fat if that and tasted like it was undercooked. Maybe the worst summer sausage I’ve ever bought. Very disappointed.

Ham I ordered online shipped on Nov 17 from Arkansas to Tulsa Oklahoma. I was concerned about meat being in transit for four days, and rightly so. The 8 lb ham was fully thawed and in a box of water sitting on top of the walnut cinnamon coffee cake I also ordered. The coffee cake box was falling apart sitting in a box full of warm water and an 8lb ham sitting on it. Can I refreeze the ham? Will we get sick eating it now? Petit Jean does not answer me.

I bought a summer sausage with venison and pork the other day and was really disappointed. I cut it today for me and my grandson it was so full of fat it was horrible. I love petit jean meats, I grew up on them. I’ve bought the summer sausage line of meats and never ever seen that before.

I have always loved Petit Jean Bologna. The last purchase I made which was last week, the meat was a pale color and weird texture. I did not taste like Bologna at all. The taste and texture was more like Vienna sausage. This was purchased from the deli but the packaged meat looked the same color. Very disappointing.
I will not be buying anymore.
Please go back to the original Bologna that we all loved.

Hickory smoked bacon from Petit Jean is the only bacon I eat at home. It has the best flavor and cooks up very well. Cut to the perfect thickness and the hickory smoked smell and taste are definitely number one. The 1.5 pound package is the way to go. Definitely #1 for my family

The staff seems nice, but the company hasn’t made any decent driveway to get to door 3. Pictures will show there is deep mud and, there is no protection if you get stuck and may slide forward off an enbankment. Just plain dangerous.
