This place is awesome. We were passing through Altona and we decided to find something to eat, and I discovered this restaurant. Since last night was Christmas Eve, there were no people there, but there were tons of people calling for food, which was a good sign. My mom and I got 2 combo plates (C2 and C3) and they were both excellent. My recommendation is the C3, especially with the Sesame Chicken. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp which was good, although the Sesame Chicken is better. The fried rice even is perfect, not starchy or salty at all. Especially if you’re on a budget, the Combo Plates give you lots for $12-15.
It’s always the small towns with the hidden gems that have the best food. This even beats any Winnipeg Chinese Restaurant.

Excellent Excellent!! I ordered C8 off the menu, which is one of their combination plates. It was delicious, plus all ingredients were cooked fresh. So tastey and flavourful. Such a friendly host giving excellent service. Like so many Chinese restaurants, this spot is a Mom and Pop Shop, which gives it that personal flair that large chains can’t convey. I had consumé soup to start, $5. But such a large bowl is the medium, that it took me through the meal. The C8 combination plate includes breaded veal, lemon chicken, chop suey and lo mein. All for $15. A huge portion this plate is that I did not think I would finish it.

AMAZING! the service is great so friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. Made with love❤ i love the wonton soup for an appetizer and i we had pork in sweet and sour sauce with noodles and veggies.
My husband and I each had a soup and shared the noodles and meat. We were so full that we took the rest home. Cant wait to eat the rest of this delicious meal! If you love chinese food this restaurant is a must.

We ordered food for 10 to go. Because a number of the party were gluten/dairy free, the owner worked very hard with us to achieve a selection that worked for us. She was very helpful. All the food was delicious. Highlites were the hot and sour soup, the egg foo yung and the black bean garlic beef.

Service and food is always excellent. Portions are huge – we ordered the dinner for 6 plus 2 extra sides and it fed 6 adults and 5 kids with plenty of leftovers. My 10 year old says he’d rate them 6 stars as 5 stars isn’t high enough!!

I could not agree more that Lok Lok Garden restaurant has the best Chinese food in Manitoba! It has fresh vegetables, meats, fish, shrimp, and chicken, all seasoned to absolute perfection! Friendly family business. Always worth the drive from Winnipeg!
