We arrived just as they opened, not a single person in there. We ordered two different pizza slices, west coast chicken and Hawaiian, but we could have definitely just ordered one slice for both of us! It was cooked perfectly. We also got an order of garlic bread, so good!

It was the first place I stopped at. Great pizza. Sitting on the patio drinking a cold beer. What else do you want.

Meh… plain pizza – maybe with other toppings it would have been better. My wife Antipasto salad salad was pretty good. We took it to go. Atmosphere was upbeat. I should have just taken advantage of their $3 PBR tall cans Tuesday special and not ordered food.

After eating pizza in 22 countries across Europe, North and Central America, Australia, and Asia—from the wood-fired shrines of Naples to the top spots in New York, Chicago, Tokyo, and Melbourne—I can say without hesitation that Pete’s Pizza in Grass Valley, CA is the best pizza place on Earth. The leopard-spotted crust, bright sauce, perfect toppings (that “Gold Country” pie with prosciutto, fig, arugula, and balsamic is life-changing), killer local craft beer selection, cozy mountain-town vibe with the magical back patio, and the warmest, fastest, most genuine staff I’ve ever encountered all combine into pure pizza nirvana. If you love pizza even a little, make the drive. Five stars isn’t enough—this is the new global gold standard.

First time in- first impression – clean and great menu. You have to order at cashier not full service. People in front of me took a very long time, by the time I got up to the register – I noticed a person walk up to the unoccupied cashier and was helped very quickly. Frustrating… I sat down and then employees came by quickly with to go pizza’s- called peeps name- don’t look around and shove it into their heater. No one notices us raise our hand and runner disappears before I can get it. . Very annoyed -I wait up front – no one – another runner doesn’t care we are standing there so I grab my pizza out of the warmer. He notices now- front person comes back – looks at me like I’m a problem not apologetic. Lg pizza – $30. There’s another pizza place I usually go to that charges the same for full service.

Great place to grab a slice and a good craft beer. Good menu selections and I usually stop in before attempting a concert at the Center for the Arts, located a block up Main St.

Been a local for some time now, every time I come is out of wishing progression has been made. Should start by saying a decent tap selection- which is the second star. However the pizza is less than a pizza and more of a cracker with subpar toppings. It isn’t New York, nor tavern style, I’m not sure what really type of pizza to call it- but it is lacking a few things; seasoning, respect for the practice, and a ode to locality. It’s almost as the dough had been bought at a box supply store, with canned veg atop, and baked to accommodate the masses.

This is not a dog at the establishment at all- this is a review to perhaps have the chance for the pizza chef (a student at a reputable institution, if I am correct), to give both the locals and visitors a decent pie- for the high, high price at $11.50 a slice.

We love this place! The food is always good, I love the fact that they have monthly special pizzas! They have a super groovy tap “room” with some amazing gems….just had an Oaktown
Brown with a Figgy Piggy. I almost always ask Tanner “what’s good” and I have yet to be steered wrong!
Great place to go…and yes…sometimes there’s a wait.

I was excited about a blitz our sales team conducted in Grass Valley! It gave me an opportunity to eat here at what I would consider as one of my favorite pizza joints.
I was only in GV for 3 days and ate here twice!
Food is amazing! Service was great. It’s positioned in a great location downtown amongst other attractions.
