Food was delicious for bar/ tavern grub. The burgers were flavorful and well crafted. Atmosphere is about what you would expect, friendly tavern vibes so it’s not going to be the most pristine. (One star coming off due to cleanliness and a few bug friends hanging out but not overly problematic.) Staff was warm and welcoming. I wish they were more on top with the refills but that’s ok. It can be overwhelming working in a tight space with a lot of diners. The fries were the star of the show and the special light orange sauce that came with them was fantastic! If you prefer rare meat like I do this is the place for a good burger. Patty was crisp on the outside, juicy, tender and medium pink on the inside for medium rare. The English muffin had some extra chew to soak up the flavor from the burger patty so you’re not left with a mushy and soggy bun. That was well thought out. Overall very good spot for a truly delicious and fair priced burger especially considering the Westchester area where most burgers will run you $20+ not even including sides and additions.

I am a frequent customer, which makes this experience even more disappointing. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir, and once it was opened it was immediately clear that the wine was faulty.
We informed the waitress and politely asked for a replacement. Instead, we were told that this was not possible unless we agreed to pay for both bottles, simply because the first one had already been opened.
This shows a lack of basic professionalism and knowledge of proper wine service. A defective wine can only be identified after opening, and customers should not be charged for a product that is clearly not in acceptable condition.
For a place that presents itself as a quality establishment, this handling of the situation was unacceptable and very disappointing. It has definitely made us reconsider returning in the future

I had the Pete’s Burger with Bacon and it was absolutely delicious. Juicy beef patty, melted Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and perfectly crispy bacon — all on a fresh toasted bun. The flavors were spot on, and everything was cooked just right.

The fries were hot, crispy, and generously served. The dipping sauce on the side added a tasty extra touch.

On top of that, the service was excellent — friendly, fast, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can tell they care about both the food and the customer experience.

4.5/5 classic “town” spot with no frills bar and pretty good food all around. Small outdoor area. Definitely, a town favorite with some live music on the weekends (check before going)

I always go to Pete’s for the buffalo wraps—they’re my favorite, but I usually prefer to take my food to go. I have been wanting to write a review on the service for years but today was the craziest thing I’ve seen. I’ve always noticed that the phone service at Pete’s is consistently terrible. Every time I try to call in an order, the phone either gives a busy tone, rings nonstop with no answer, or I’m told they’re not taking phone orders at all and if we want food we have to sit down.

Today after trying multiple times with no luck, we decided not to give up like we usually do and drive over and order in person. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn’t so busy that they couldn’t answer the phone, so we asked why no one ever answers the phone because it’s a recurring situation. The response: “Oh, the phones are down.”

As I was waiting for my food, the phone started ringing—and I watched the older bartender look right at it, and shove it into a cabinet instead of answering. I was shocked. That’s probably exactly what happens to my calls, yet they claimed the phones were down. It honestly makes me wonder if the owner knows this is happening, because they’re losing money and, based on other reviews, it seems like a lot of customers have issues with the same bartender.

The food is great, but the service is unacceptable. They seriously need to do better.

Fantastic service, delicious flavors, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries!!! Wonderfully crispy and sweet; perfectly french fried! This place is a cozy neighborhood bar with American fare and a British pub flair. The service was friendly and welcoming. The best thing we tried was the sweet potato fires and the firecrackers calamari. Both were cooked wonderfully. The selection of beer and wine is adequate for anyone coming in for a meal or just to wet their whistle. Cash and credit are both accepted. Bathrooms are available for the public. Dining inside and outside is available. An interesting surprise was the Colman’s mustard on the table, which was a very delicious condiment to add to the meal. 01/2024

We went for the 25¢ wings. Can’t beat the deal but they were overcooked. Two flavors BBQ or hot. The server and hostess were fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I would absolutely go again, but will not order the wings. FYI for all the Diet Coke addicts, they serve Pepsi products. Also the town it is in is super cute and this is right across the street from the Bronxville station.

Great old school atmosphere. Super friendly, hard-working local staff. The time you don’t see too much these days anymore. Food is always consistent. The drinks are great, dark cozy, comfortable, and a great spot to take a Yankee game from the wine selection to the beer on top the nachos the adult grilled cheese, not to mention a great buffalo chicken wrap an A+ French onion soup. Just all around great comfort food in a place where everybody knows your name.

I came to Pete’s not expecting much. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was better than expected. It was crunchy and had a lot of cheese, 2 of my favorite qualities for a sandwich.

The staff was friendly and service was fairly quick. This place was also affordable. A lot of restaurants in the area are at a higher price point.
