A place to order for the first time on Friday. March 6th 2026. I cannot believe how much food they gave. I ate three meals off of the plate. Generous amount of food. It tasted good and the service was wonderful. I will be back. I recommended to anyone who wants seafood in the Cherryville area

I found this place on fb, I live right near another fish camp but I will drive EVERYTIME for fish from here on out!! I usually only eat Perch but now CATFISH!! They have the absolute best clean tasting Catfish I have ever had!! The sides are awesome too and dont ever leave without getting the Tea!!! The food is always hot and fresh, best in Gaston County GREAT SERVICE!! The prices are affordable give you good quantity!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!!!

We have ordered here numerous times and have never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious and the staff is always friendly. The portions are huge and they have the best chicken tenders around. Always great every time.

My wife and I have been there a few times. Was not to bad at first. Don’t know if they got a new cook or what but the last two times were very disappointing. The hush puppies were burnt hard French fries were under cooked and the fish well after eating two pieces our hands looked like we had dipped them in oil. Needless to say both orders were placed in trash. That’s $32 thrown away. Back to Cottons again. Little bit farther to drive but the food is eatable.

I went to Pete’s fish box yesterday and I immediately fell in love with everyone before seeing and eating the food. The food smells and tastes really amazing!! I’m in love.. Highly recommend!! Definitely will be seeing y’all soon!!

I will admit, my first experience with this new fish camp wasn’t pleasant because of the misunderstanding that we ordered the wrong size plates but we decided to give another try and let me say this new fish camp is on another level with the way the food is prepared and the service as well. My apologies to the owner for my first experience but definitely a well established fish camp now. The food is excellent and the service is excellent as well ! Will definitely order again and will be on the once a week menu for our household! Thanks for the great food and service!!!!

This was our first trip to Pete’s but not our last. The calabash shrimp and salt and pepper catfish were both wonderful. We tried both kinds of slaw and both were fine. The marinated had the best flavor, just a little too much sugar for me. The cocktail and tarter sauces were very good. The tarter sauce is homemade, with a wonderful flavor, best I have had around here for years.

It was my first time trying Pete’s Fish Box and it was AMAZING!! They have a marinated slaw, OH MY GOSH it’s so good!! Their sauces [cocktail and tartar sauce] are so good!! The seafood was SOOO good! The deviled crab absolutely amazing! Everything honestly was so good, I’ll definitely be back and I’ll definitely tell my friends to check it out!! My only “gripe” if you could call it that, I got a seafood boil, and that alone is $24 at first they didn’t give it to me, when I checked my food I realized it wasn’t in there so I pulled back around and they were very apologetic about it, mistakes happen, no worries about that. When I got home and opened the plate, I automatically wished there was more sausage and shrimp. It was mainly potatoes. For $24 I just expected more meat. They also forgot to give me my sweet tea but, by the time I had realized it I just said bump it. But, overall the food was amazing, the staff was amazing and that slaw was AMAZING!! And, my family will absolutely be back again!!!

Check your order before you leave. I will say the food is good, Family of 3, we try to go there at least 1 time a week. The last 2 times i have been shorted one of the extra tartar sauce i ordered. Went there last night 08/23/2025. I picked up my 56 dollar order and pulled back in the parking lot and checked my order. Again i am shorted a tartar sauce. I pulled back up to the window and told her i was short? She didn’t say im sorry or anything. She started going back through the ticket she did taking the order like im some kind of a liar or thief? Then she tries to turn it around on me. She said she didn’t hear me ask for two extra tartar sauce like i owed her 2 more dollars? I just asked for my bag back that they had took back to check back and i will never be back. Then she started talking down to me. The guys cooking started laughing in the back ground and she calling me a liar with out, out right saying it? So, check this out? The advertised price with tax included? My order was 3 small flounder plates and 2 extra tartar sauce. I paid 56 dollars? Small flounder plates are 16 dollars each. Extra tartar sauce 2 dollars? So that comes up to 52 dollars. So where is my extra tartar sauce and why did i pay 4 dollars to much?????? And who is the crook and thief here? I will never be back. I know my little weekly order will not affect there business but if you go to this, check your order and make sure your not paying to much. Because there is a disrespectful crook and a thief working there. See how the owner reacts????? Up the prices to say it salved the problem. Your math still don’t add up buddy? What abut the 2 dollars for the extra tartar sauce?? I have been coming to your place since it opened. I was shorted a slaw or a tartar sauce, pack of butter or something from time to time. I never said anything about that. The last 2 times prior to the last time, I was shorted a tartar sauce. Had talked to a friend, he said he was shorted from time to time. This time I turned around because i had, had enough. I pulled to the window and said i was shorted. You took my bag back to look through it and you went for the order ticket. At that point i felt like you was treating me like a thief and calling me a liar over 2 dollars. At that point all i wanted was my stuff back so i could leave and never come back but i get lectured and your staff thought it was funny. And you wonder why i blew up??? Like you said, enough said. And you don’t worry. I will never spend one penny in your place again. The food is not that good. Now the cash only thing makes more since.
