This is not the BBQ that I had in mind, the brisket was cut thin, was very dry and had a lot of hard fat that I had to spit out in a napkin. Potato salad and macaroni were OK. The restroom toilet had some floaters left from a previous customer and would not flush so that was gross to see while using the restroom. Staff was very nice but the food was not good here.

Sadly, this is the ultimate worst “bbq” ever. The meat is not even bbq’d it is sliced paper thin then cooked on a griddle. The “tri tip” was like beef jerky, the “brisket” was like bad carne asada and the pulled pork was dry and too salty. It was dry, over cooked, flavorless and barely edible. We complained and the girls working were kind and did their best but they cook as they are told to; so this is an owner issue. The potato salad and coleslaw were good, wanted to try the corn bread but for $3 a piece I passed.

Service… AMAZING!! Just visited the restaurant yesterday and I have no room for complaints other than the fact I want more . Can’t wait to try something else.

Sorry, but the BBQ was just not good at all. I base my BBQ on how well two things are, ribs and brisket. For this visit I tried The ribs and they were very underwhelming and felt they were overcooked, had no smoke flavor at all, thinking oven baked? Also, they were poorly seasoned and just lacked flavor. The sides, beans and cole slaw were mediocre at best and the cornbread was dry and hard. Pete needs to go back to BBQ school, hard pass for me ever returning.

This is one of the best bbq places I’ve ever been to. It’s inside a liquor store, so that’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars on atmosphere, but the food is totally falling-off-the-bone fabulous! I’ve only been there like 5 times, but it’s always been wonderful & I’d recommend it to anyone. A real hole-in-the-wall gem!

We’ve driven past the place about a million times and decided yesterday was the day to stop in. We didn’t regret that decision at all. The food was amazing! We had a the brisket and trip sandwiches and were more than satisfied.

Great place for barbecue in Ramona. We had the brisket burrito and it’s reason enough to go back. Tasty, smoky and tender brisket with fries wrapped in grilled flour tortilla. The house barbecue sauce is sweet, not too salty with just a little tartness to it. We also had the ribs with coleslaw, mac & cheese and cornbread. The ribs just falls off the bone and just seasoned nicely. The sides in itself is great but not a fan of the cornbread. The cornbread is a touch dry and has a herbaceous flavor that I don’t care for. The crews are friendly and helpful in suggesting what’s good. Highly recommended and will definitely go back.

Anyone who loves BBQ knows it’s best made at the hole in the wall joints. And this place proves it! It’s on a busy corner combined with a corner store. You walk in and head to the back. Order at counter and served on cafeteria trays. Tiny fenced off area to sit away from liquor/grocery store. So atmosphere is low. But the staff is super nice! And food is AMAZING! Lots of flavor without it being drowned in sauce. How good BBQ should be. Better than Phil’s or Mikes BBQ.

Came by to try the special 9.99 meal. Was pretty good and the Frank’s red hot sauce definitely made the already amazing fries just that much better. Wish a drink was included but can’t complain about the flavor. Also got peach cobbler but was only about 2 or 3 bites for half the price of the whole sandwich and fries lol. Still that was good too. Can’t wait to come back and try more
