Pesca Restaurant delivers an experience that feels both effortless and unforgettable. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a complimentary glass of prosecco, a thoughtful touch that sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

One of the standout features at Pesca is the absence of a fixed menu. Instead, they showcase a daily selection at their fish market based on that day’s fresh catch. The team happily walks you through what’s available, and the result is a meal that feels personal, fresh, and sustainably minded. Knowing that the offerings change with the day’s delivery makes the whole experience feel alive and authentic.

I started with the tuna ceviche, which was bright, beautifully balanced, and full of flavour. For my main, I had the cod, perfectly cooked, delicate, and easily one of the best I’ve had. Every dish highlighted the quality of the ingredients and the skill in the kitchen.

A special mention goes to my table server, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely added to the experience with great recommendations and warm service.

If you appreciate fresh seafood, attentive staff, and an approach that avoids waste while celebrating the day’s best catch, Pesca is a must-visit. I’ll absolutely return.

BAR REVIEW. Came here late Wednesday night close to closing time but the bartender is nice and allowed us to order some drinks, basic cocktails only. Cool vibes here—some nice couches by the bar or there is an outdoor patio as well.

I really do not understand why this restaurant is not fully booked everyday! Ok it is new but it is great! The fresh fishes, great tastes, excellent cooked! But the power of the restaurant is its people ! One of the best services we ever had! Young people with a real smile in their face, knowing their job and the menu, helping you and guiding you through your tastes and preferences and constantly looking out for us!

For the same money compared to the tourist restaurants in the old twon, you can eat real, quality local fish food

We wish you all the best!
Thank you for this amazing dinner experience!

Amazing concept of fish market out of Amsterdam where you get to choose your fresh ingredients. All dishes were perfect, this was the best meal of our time in south of France by far! A must try 🙂

An exceptional dining experience in the heart of Nice. Pesca impresses with its original concept, outstandingly fresh fish, delicious cocktails and a beautiful terrace that invites you to linger. The service was friendly, attentive and made us feel genuinely welcome. A true gem for seafood lovers – we’ll definitely be back!

We were here for dinner one night and had the most incredible experience!

The staff at Pesca were absolutely incredible and a delight. They really made us feel welcome. The seafood was really fresh, with the highlights being the soft shell crab and the wine. The rooftop view was also stunning, and we would recommend sitting outdoors and enjoying the ambiance.

If you are looking for a unique experience and love seafood, Pesca is a must try when you are in Nice. We are really looking forward to coming back!

A Creative Concept with Style, But Lacking Seamless Execution

Pesca offers a fresh and theatrical approach to dining—a definite talking point. The experience begins at the fish counter, where you order from a constantly changing menu displayed on a retro-style flip board (think old airport departure signs, complete with the nostalgic clicking sound). It’s a fun and novel idea, adding drama to the ordering process. There’s even a cinema-style seating area in front of the counter to take it all in.

However, this clever concept also brings some challenges. The board updates every three minutes, which makes it hard to take your time, especially with only one staff member handling orders. We felt the pressure of people waiting behind us as we tried to make decisions. Pricing wasn’t always clear, and although you’re told the total at the end and can adjust your order, doing so under time pressure isn’t ideal—especially if you’re cost-conscious.

We were seated at a round rooftop table with a beautiful view of Nice city centre, which added charm to the evening. A live DJ playing upbeat music added to the vibrant atmosphere, and she clearly enjoyed what she was doing. The vibe was definitely a strong point.

That said, service left quite a bit to be desired. Though the table was prepared for 4, we were a party of 6, and staff didn’t take initiative to adjust until prompted. Starters arrived far too quickly—before the full group was seated, before the table was properly set, and even before bread was served. We returned them, only for the same starters to be brought out again, now cold. To their credit, the team eventually cancelled and replaced the food with freshly prepared dishes, but this sequence highlighted the lack of attentiveness you’d expect from a restaurant positioning itself at the higher end.

Wine starts at around €30 per bottle, with most options priced in the €50–60 range. This is very much a place for diners who aren’t watching their budget.

The food itself had high points. Starters were beautifully executed and flavourful. Mains were served in small yakiniku-style grills—visually fun, but purely decorative. The grilled fish was fresh and well-cooked, but seasoning and flavour complexity were minimal—no more than salt and careful grilling to keep it from drying out. Technique was solid, but nothing imaginative or particularly refined in terms of taste profile.

Overall, Pesca is an ambitious concept with real potential, offering a fun and vibrant atmosphere and good ingredients. However, its creative presentation needs to be matched with better service, staffing, and attention to detail to deliver the seamless dining experience it clearly aspires to.

Visiting Pesca in Nice was nothing short of unforgettable. From the very first moment, we felt not just welcomed but truly desired as guests. The warm greeting set the tone, accompanied by a delightful welcome drink – a Prosecco Martini that instantly lifted the mood.

The concept of the restaurant is extraordinary: starting with a vibrant fish market, where the freshest catch is on display, and then moving into a stylish wine market that perfectly complements the experience. The food itself was remarkable – every dish freshly prepared and bursting with flavor. The octopus, sardines, mullet, and loup were cooked with finesse, each bite enhanced by a bottle of Whispering Angel rosé, which paired beautifully with the seafood.

As the evening unfolded, a glamorous DJ set added energy and sophistication to the atmosphere. To crown the night, we moved to the rooftop, where a Pornstar Martini awaited us under the moonlight. The breathtaking view across nighttime Nice, shared with my charming lady, created a truly magical ending.

Pesca isn’t just a restaurant – it’s an experience that blends culinary excellence, vibrant ambiance, and romance. A place to return to, again and again.

We had a the best dinner experience in the cote d azur ! The staff is exceptional and very professional we felt like home and treated professionally from the beginning till the end, a special thanks to Lisa at the welcoming, Remy the sommelier, Sofia the lovely waitress and Louis at the sea food market. The restaurant is located on the top floor of the Marriott hotel at the 5th floor with lovely outdoor space and terrace with amazing views on Nice bay. The seafood is fresh and exceptionally cooked and the atmosphere chill and very intimate. I would be back and recommend it for a great experience !

The food was good and the waiter was friendly.
However, we waited an hour after our reservation time to be seated and taken to the fish market (part of the concept of choosing your fish), when the restaurant was mostly empty.
