I expect only someone from Mexico could confirm the authenticity of Amigo Taqueria but for someone from the other side of the world it seemed quite authentic to me.
Fresh and tasty, I especially enjoyed the guacamole dip as an appetizer.

Amigo Taqueria is the BEST Mexican spot in ALL of the greater Charlotte area. The staff is incredibly friendly, great prices and specials, and my gosh the food is out of this world. Their Birria is so tender, full of flavor, and genuinely melts in your mouth. Their horchata and agua frescas are heavenly, and served in GIANT portions.
I cannot recommend enough driving from wherever you are, no matter the distance, to come and try this place.

I can’t believe I’ve never left a review for this place. I’ve been coming here since they opened and it’s been my favorite place to get Mexican food ever since. I’m a Mexican girl born and raised in San Diego, and the food here hits pretty close to home. It’s just good. On top of that, the people that work here are consistently so amazingly kind and hospitable. Whether you’re dining in or taking food to go, expect good food and a friendly atmosphere. Also, if you’re looking for tortillas, they are so good here!

Went there a few minutes ago. Got a to go order of menudo. 2nd time I ordered it. The 1st time it was awesome. This time I ordered it was nothing but the fatty pork. None of the good pork meat this time. I even ordered extra meat thinking it was going to be the actual meat not the fatty. It had none of the pork meat this time and all of the pork belly fat. And it had absolutely no hominy on it. It was nothing like the 1st time. I’ll never be back. It seems like everyone is constantly trying to cheat the customers to make more profit nowadays. So im going back to eating at home bcuz today’s times every restaurant is either a hit or miss. This was definitely a miss. I will not be back ever. oh yeah and I left a 15% tip even though I was getting it to go. Never again.

So it was my first time here. I’m always very skeptical of little hole-in-the-wall places. But I read the reviews and they all sounded good so I decided to try it. The furniture was clean and in good condition. Floors were clean. The food was surprisingly good.. I will definitely come back again.

It was my first time coming here & the food was amazing, authentic Mexican food, as well as the atmosphere, our waiter was super friendly, very attentive of our table. The menu had a good selection; I ordered the birria quesadillas w horchata & my bf ordered chilaquiles w passion fruit. the parking lot was abit small but we went early so it wasn’t too busy. I will frequent this place!

I couldn’t find a decent authentic taqueria in Concord so I came Kannapolis! Amigos Taqueria has the best tacos and Agua frsca!! I highly recommend the food and the service and the vibe! Best tacos around for sure!

We ordered on $2 Taco Tuesday! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the lovely workers. However, the steak tacos were lacking flavor. Very little onion and cilantro on my tacos, the lime and salsa saved the tacos. Maybe their sweet pork would have enhanced the taco? The sweet pork was delicious in the torta and flavorful! I would only suggest to watch out on the cheese… they left the biggest block of cheese on my torta I had one mouth full of just queso fresco. It was still yummy!
Horchata was very powdery.

Yoooo had to write a review. This is my 4th time here on and off and as a 100% Mexican I would have to say this is the best authentic food. I’ve ordered pozole 3 times out of the 4 and they do not disappoint. I don’t know where the owners are from but my parents and I are from Guerrero they matched my mom’s Pozole I had to message her and tell her she was finally matched lol . I would definitely recommend to anyone!
