While my wife Debbie and I were in Modesto, we heard about Persuasion. We stopped by and immediately met brew master Jonas.
Jonas and his staff were amazing with their welcomes, courtesy and with their knowledge of their products.
To put it quite simply, their brews are top notch! My favorite is the single IPA Lupe while Debbie’s is the Blonde.
We are absolutely looking forward to our next visit to Persuasion!

My wife and I stopped here just looking to get a beer. Didn’t expect much but when we walked in we were impressed with the inside. Seating, bar area, stage and food. Cool, relaxed place we could just hang out on the couch. We will definitely go back.

Nice roomy brewery. Went for the band that was playing, Saving Seattle. Great entertainment. Brewery was so packed they ran out of beer. Not a lot of food options and the food truck outside left at about 7 pm (leaving a lot of hungry people). The line to order was so long it was almost out the door and took a very long time to get through. The owners are new and are just learning how to manage everything so that could be why. Could use more seating. Definitely up and coming.

Cool place to hangout, play games, eat food, drink beer. The place is huge. Main area has a lot of seating, couches, tables, bar top, darts, bar area, kitchen. Back room is a game room with pool, foosball, etc. My only complaint is that the music in the main area is too loud. Hard to have a conversation. Located in a somewhat industrial remote area. Plenty of parking in their lot or on the street

Nice variety of beers on tap. Up to 18, but some were out. Beers are $8 a pint. I liked their hazies the best. They also have wine. Bartenders are all very nice and let you sample anything you want. Canned beers are $7 each, can mix and match, same price regardless of quantity. It’s nice they give you some free appetizers when you order a pint. Either calamari or wings. Calamari was decent

Super chill place to grab a beer after work. The beer selection is okay. Wish they had a lager. the snacks are good to have a drink or two. Did tune box was free So that was a plus. Would definitely come back and have another beer.

All day music festival. There are lots of different beers on tap. Met rapper Calisnupe and several other artists. Didn’t get anything to eat, but the ladies are the bar were very friendly and knew a lot about the beers.

The market and deli is now gone, the only food they sell are the sandwiches. The brewery is great though and they have a fantastic can selection to take home. To replace the food, there are now loads of pool tables and cornhole spots so relax and play. Well worth a visit to chill or pick up a few beers to take home.

Update Feb 2025: Another nice dog walk to Persuasion. I enjoyed my red ale, but still think 18Seventy has the best red. I forgot to mention earlier, but the Market is closed. Persuasion does sell some of their beers in cans. Their is also food available, but we didn’t try it.
Update 4/2/23: Again we walked our dogs, about 1.3 miles each way for us. Their new IPA was great, something like 1000k…much smoother than most IPAs. This time we were the only ones outside. It was hard to believe with such nice weather.
Update 10/30/22: today we walked our dogs to Persuasion to enjoy some beer outside in this wonderful fall weather. The Market still has a good beer selection, but only had one bottle of Bourbon Paradiso from Prairie Artisan. The Market part has been otherwise replaced with pool tables.
We have been here several times. They have a good selection of beer and a nice outdoor seating area as well as the inside bar. While there, visit The Market and get some hard to find beers to take home. We love the stouts from Prairie Artisan Ales. Also the rosemary and green olive bread they have on Fridays is the best as are the olive rolls you can get daily. I just saw this week that they carry locally made Bonanza tortillas.
