The food was good, especially the gobi manchurian. The last time I was here, they served really spicy food when I specifically asked for mild. This time they got it right. The service could be better. The waiter should dress appropriately. Also, the white seats need to be cleaned.

Tidy dining area, food was ok. However—I’m not accustomed to the unidentifiable crunchy things I kept finding in my saag and curry chicken. Deal breaker for me. Also seems a bit spicier than what I asked for.

This restaurant, at the time of this review, was brand new.
Summary: Food was mediocre; Floor was dirty; Service was nice but not knowledgeable.
Overall, Persis needs better management.

Food: The food was little more than mediocre. Some elements were outright undercooked, and the temperature tended to be lukewarm. This could be a one time issue though. Taste was decent though.

Property: The restaurant itself was very small. Almost the whole restaurant was a hospital white, save one rock wall.
The floor was dirty, with spots of grime and fallen items, a result of poor management.
The tables failed to impress. They were completely white and lacked tablecloth, causing any dropped food to be very noticeable. However, this might change soon, considering this place is new.
The chairs are also white and hard, comfort completely out of the picture, unless you sit on a sofa.

Service: The waiter was nice. The server was nice. The manager was nice.
The best part of the restaurant was probably the service. The staff were extremely patient and friendly.
There was an issue though where the waiter did not know the menu, a result of lack of management. This is not the waiter’s fault, however the waiter handled the situation extremely well.
The manager did not explain any items in a way people would understand or remember.

Overall, the thing this place needs most is better management.

Great food, the buffet had a variety of delicious food, going to revisit soon. Con is needs some more employees at the front…

Edit: food does not taste as it did before. Just had lunch buffet and food is horrid, save the time and go to another restaurant nearby. I used to come around every week or so, don’t think I’ll be back. Buffet was great two weeks ago, I think they change staff often perhaps..

They started couple of years back the quality of the food was good initially and then it has been going bad consistently. I thought they are good for Biryani, but recently that has also gone down. Had many many bad experiences with all our orders be it in restaurant or carry out.
The cook himself told us once that they cook fresh food only on tuesdays and then use it all week. So that tells how bad quality they serve.
I would never recommend.

Went in for Lunch and was handed a Dinner Menu. I asked for a lunch menu and they spent 10 minutes looking for it. I ordered the Lunch Butter chicken Spicy, mango lassi, and a Veg Pakora. I was Brought my lunch portions which was good. The gentleman next to me Ordered the dinner portion because he did not know they had a lunch menu. I took not of the size difference and defiantly got the Lunch portion. But the bill came and I was Charged for the Dinner Prices. $23 lunch is unacceptable. I complained that If I ate lunch portions the prices should reflect that. They said No so I paid my bill and will never go back. Terrible way to treat people.

The best Indian restaurant in the Dayton area! Wonderful, classy ambience, and their food is scrumptious to say the least! I first tried their food at the Dayton World Afair and couldn’t get enough! Great vegetarian selection too! I think I’m going to try everything on their menu! They got my order a little wrong and forg my drinks, but they were more than happy to fix it! Good enough customer service for me!

We decided to check out Persis on a whim since Indian rasoi is closed. Definitely glad we found this place. The food is some of the best in Dayton, the interior is beautiful, and the people who work here are extremely friendly. We will definitely be coming back again!

Ate lunch today, with my father. I’ll be honest and say that in the past I didn’t like when he wanted to dine here. However, today we went and it was a new manager, new servers, new cooks and a new menu. They still had some of the old menu but (I think) made with the new owner’s recipes.

We had: Vegetable Samosa, Goat Briyani and a combo lunch portion of Shrimp Moolie. The combo included the entree, rice, naan and a portion of carrot halwa.

Everything about today’s visit was amazing! The table service was superb! Drinks were refilled often. The timing of the food being brought out was perfect (meal was served not long after we finished appetizer but not too much of space in between). They were very conscious of dietary restrictions (I can’t have dairy). The owner and cook came out to greet us, make sure we enjoyed the meal and thanked us for visiting.

Above all, the food was cooked great and tasted superb. The samosas tasted like a family recipe. The goat in the briyani was very tender. I personally have never had shrimp moolie, before today. This was an extra special treat as I often don’t get to have curry with gravy when dining out, because of the use of heavy cream and ghee. This dish has a coconut milk base and was delicious.

If you haven’t been here, you must check it out. If you’ve been here before and like me did not really enjoy the experience, give it another chance and visit under the new management. I will definitely visit again.

Well the buffet is not great at all… they should really learn. And the chef’s add a lot of salt.

This place has been closed for some time now. Hope something is changing.

The chefs add a lot of salt when the food is stale.

I am a regular visitor so i know what is fresh and what not. Have to be choosy.. plates are not clean.

Wierd food arrangement. Blocks the person trying to pay the bill.. seriously did they even use their brains.

Folks don’t pickup phone when they are nearing closing time.(and most of the time.. i end up calling prems chennai delight)

Biryani is good. No denying. Always to go.
