UPDATED REVIEW: After the restaurant reached out to me about my experience, I returned and am so glad I did. The new biscuit meal I was given was perfect. The biscuit was baked perfectly; it was very soft and delicious. I can see why people recommend Perky Beans for biscuits and gravy now!

ORIGINAL REVIEW: The coffees I’ve had here have been very good. And the service in the coffee shop has always been friendly.
I’ve only had one experience with the café side, with a to-go order of one biscuit and gravy. A rushed but friendly hostess/server helped me, and my order was ready in under 2 minutes. Unfortunately, the biscuit was overcooked. Cutting and chewing thru the bottom of the biscuit took more work than it should have and wasn’t exactly pleasant. The inside, thankfully, was soft. The sausage gravy was tasty but heavy on pepper. I had heard really good things about the biscuits and gravy, but if they can’t cook the biscuits right, I simply can’t agree.

Had the Golden State Benedict was amazing and the Dublin Iced coffee was a great treat! Was my first time experiencing poached eggs didn’t really know what to expect. We’re basically like over easy but in a new form factor. Staff was great and the place is very cozy and good for conversations or reading as it was very chill and now load music or anything. I see myself coming back over and over!

Not a big place but if you can snag a table the food is pretty great.

Caramelized Banana French toast is incredible. The bananas have a great texture, and the overall flavor is awesome. Very sweet, didn’t need syrup.

Also got to try the utopia burger which was amazing. Good beef, plenty of toppings, everything just hit right. Comes with fries in case you need a little filler (they aren’t bad, but nothing special). Would order this burger again, but I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them if they are up to the same standard.

Big ol breakfast is exactly what I wanted. The pancakes are a little smaller, but they are tasty, and the sausages weren’t too greasy which I really like.

Everything was great, would absolutely come back.

Delicious, warm, fresh sandwiches! I I had a roast turkey and also a caprese. The flavor is SO GOOD. These are hearty sandwiches, and I could have been full off of half of one. The bread is a focaccia that is warm and soft, so it doesn’t cut or scratch the roof of your mouth. I was so pleased with how perfect it is – the exact right amount of steam in the bread, because the bread is not dry. Perky Beans is doing an amazing job at serving local, flavorful, delicious meals. I will definitely come again when I’m in the area. I’m not paid to review this, but my review is great because I can see that a local company is doing an amazing job, and I’d love for it to keep growing. I can not adequately describe how surprisingly flavorful the sandwiches are (only because often cafes are not known for the food). I’d love to try the chicken madeira or salmon for dinner sometime. Definitely recommend! ❤️ Great work owner!

Exceptional service, Taylor our waitress took amazing care of us and was extremely attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, my wife and I were very excited to try the food as we had driven past multiple times and seen it was always busy. This place is 10/10, one of the best breakfast places in Leander Texas! Thank you for the exceptional service and food!

Tried out the new dinner menu at Perky Beans and it did not disappoint! We had the Prime Rib Dip and the Steak Salad—both were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming as always, and the dinner options look so good that we already can’t wait to come back and try more. Highly recommend!

From the very first sip, we were blown away. I ordered the matcha with oat milk and sugar-free vanilla, and it was hands down the best matcha I’ve ever had; my kid agreed as well. My husband chose the tiramisu iced latte and couldn’t stop talking about how incredible it was and how spot-on it tasted, just like tiramisu.

What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Brittany was an absolute joy; knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Hearing her talk so excitedly about her favorite items made the experience feel personal and memorable. It’s always refreshing to meet someone who clearly loves what they do, and Brittany absolutely does.

Amazing drinks, exceptional service, and a place we’ll happily return to again and again.

This is our go to when we just want to go and enjoy some delicious food and great service!! We’ve been enjoying both the coffee shop and cafe for years now. We always leave happy and full. Their homemade berry jam is the best, so much so I ask them to bottle it up every visit What are you waiting for, go eat

I came in at 8:32 am and the Cafe was, surprisingly to me, already busy. Unfortunately for the integrity of this review, I think I was recognized as the most prolific reviewer in the area, because I was immediately seated, immediately served, and my food came out(I kid you not) only 2 minutes after I ordered. The food was steaming hot, so I know that it was freshly made, despite the quickness. Chicken fried steak was hearty and filling, gravy was delicious, eggs were perfectly runny, and the Boss Latte was sweet, but not too sweet. However, the hash browns were slightly bland, but most people like that, and that’s what salt and pepper is for.
The cafe was filled with people the entire time, and yet it didn’t feel cramped. There were two gay guys next to me that I think were on a first date, and I could’ve sworn that one of them pulled out his phone, said “I’m going to ask my ex for money,” and then they both went silent for 3 straight minutes. So that was crazy. Dawn was quick on water refills and knew exactly when to ask if I needed anything, and exactly when to leave me alone.

Overall, I give them a 97/100. Will be back, and will bring family.

I had late breakfast today at the café today and it was so busy. My waitress, Olivia was fantastic. She was so friendly, extremely efficient and just so pleasant…made eating there so enjoyable. It’s got a great simple atmosphere and very reasonably prices. Definitely recommend this place .
