After our camping trip we went out for breakfast to the hayward Perkins Very impressed with the food my kids n I went out for breakfast this morning the portions were good size for the amount I was charged all the food was amazing.

Good regular restaurant food. Some good bargains for kids and seniors and a pie special on Monday I think. Most efficient staff! Hostess and server. Many should take lessons f ry om them.

This place, what can I say, typical Perkins food.
The wait staff not very attentive to get order, serve, or leave tab, strangely tho when nearby it feels like our conversations are 4 everybody’s entertainment, often I felt if I glanced over the staff might join the convo.. . Maybe that’s just because Hayward is a such small town. 😐
This place would do much better w/more attentive staff, & adding something unique 2 the menu, at least try 2 get the food out when it’s hot ….the staff is always friendly, but sometimes I like 2 zone out & just eat…
Or talk w/friends & fam, w/some amount of privacy.

I stopped in to get my to go order and I had ordered a big country skillet and it’s always what I ordered but Usually I dine in but needed it to go today and the order was very small Portion……. compared to if I dined in.

I miss having a Perkin’s in my town. It’s a really nice family-dining experience. I just stopped in for a nice milkshake this time. It’s more expensive than a fast food joint’s, but tasted great (I got a brownie shake), and the seating was nice and comfortable. Very pleasant staff as well.

Our lunch was very good. I had a side salad that was delicious. Along with grilled fish. My son had a appetizer plate.
Unfortunately, there was a note on the door stating this location will permanently close Feb 12, 2023

The service was great!! Our Waitress was very very pleasant. And the food was great! The Strawberries were fresh.
Though they got one of the orders wrong, it was taken care of. Going to have breakfast there again tomorrow. Hope that Peggy, our Waitress, will be there.
