Food arrived quickly, however it was not good. Fried chicken was burnt. Omelets flaked apart like a biscuit. No avocado was served with Cali omelet. No mushrooms were in the Everything omelet. Server was not very attentive, never asked how things were.

4 out of 5 because the food was excellent but the customer service was rough. We got a table quickly, but saw our waitress only twice once to take our order and wants to deliver our food. After that we did not see a waitress anymore. We had to go ask for our ticket. When we asked for it, they were suprised and said they Had sent our waitress home sick but forgot to cover our table. So had we not went to the register and ask for our ticket we would have set their all day. With no refills or anything. However they were very kind and apologetic about the whole situation. The restaurant itself needed to be cleaned but the silverware and plates were clean the table was clean and the food and drinks were very good. The coffee was good also. We will visit here again.

We were looking for somewhere decent to have Sunday brunch before heading back to Madison. Perkins seem to fit the bill. I’m not sure why, but Perkins always seems to be understaffed. We waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated, only to discover that the restaurant was half-empty (or half-full if you’re an optimist). Why they didn’t seat us right away is beyond me. I’ve had the same thing happen to me at other Perkins locations so it could be some misguided policy handed down from corporate. Who knows? I will say, after being seated it was smooth sailing. The food was pretty good and the service was not bad.

Pro-tip: make sure to scour the “Great Plates” selections on the back of the menu. You can get a decent meal for as little as $4. Also, sign up for the email list m- they sound out coupons fairly regularly.

I was actually very surprised by this restaurant. We were there late on a Sunday night just because Perkins was open. I haven’t been in a Perkins for years… I didn’t even want to go in but hey it was open. I ordered a blackened shrimp on rice, I was just surprised that they’d even have that on the menu. Everything was blackened just a bit and the right amount and the shrimp, broccoli, red peppers and onions were very high quality. There wasn’t too much rice and there were lots of veggies which is good. My companion had a turkey dinner which was also very high quality. Service was good and friendly. They did a good job.

The food was fine. However our waitress was very slow, and didn’t bring things asked for without several reminders. However the manager was super nice. When I commented on checking out about the service he knocked down the total. I told him that was completely unnecessary, but he wanted to make sure we left happy. I would definitely return if in the neighbourhood.

Bernie was efficient and had the ease and personality of a professional. Also, the food was incredibly flavorful, unique and delicious! We will be back! Another part of the professionalism of Bernie was how clean everything was. Very great experience!!!! Better than 5 stars, Bernie. Thank you.

Terrible service. Our waitress was slow and sloppy looking. She leaned on our booth so hard, it almost fell over. She was able to catch it. She messed up all 4 of our orders. When the (wrong) food finally came out, we just ate it. We were so hungry after waiting so long. Sje never came back to check on us. We had to find a manager to get our bill.

Stopped here w/my boyfriend on our way home from a weekend trip & it was DEAD inside, we were seated by our server Darryl who was amazing & kind the whole time! It got busy while we were there and he was still attentive despite being the only server.He even apologized for being out of apple pie which clearly isn’t his fault:)The food was super good and came out really fast. Only took a star off because the hostess couldn’t be bothered to seat us & was on a personal phone call (in the lobby) for the duration of our meal. Otherwise it was really great!
