A very nice Perkins near our hotel in Alexandria. We went there twice during our two day stay. Once for afternoon coffee and dessert. I had a very delish chocolate muffin. Breakfast was amazing too my eggs perfect cooked. Lots of promotions and nice low prices. Great place to eat when traveling in Alexandria MN. I highly recommend. Service was top notch too.

My wife and I decided to give Perkins another visit. We hadn’t been there since last fall. We had a bad experience then. Terrible service. We left before ordering. Friday January 9th, we got there around 9:30 for brunch. The meal was good and atmosphere was good. The waitress either was having a bad morning or something. She did not smile and was not very personable. I went up to pay for the meal and told the manager that we had a better experience than last fall. He commented “we try to get better “. I was disappointed that I did not get a thank you for telling him “we had a better experience “. That might be the last time we visit there.

A breakfast for supper day. Had the wildberry pancake special and it was good. Food came quickly and the eggs were hot, not just lukewarm. Everything was prepared correctly and tasted good. Friendly service.

Friends and I eat lunch here almost every week. The food is good and the specials are always good and a great price. My favorite server is Sylvia S. She has a bright and ready smile, a great attitude for serving the public and always checks back at our table to be sure we have everything we need. Jerry is also a favorite….he is cheerful and friendly, always greeting us warmly! My only complaint is that I believe more attention needs to be spent toward cleanliness. The front door is always dirty and the bathrooms need repair and a good deep-cleaning.

I ordered my favorite Garlic Salmon Dinner with sauted spinach.
When I ordered I asked for a salad with Ranch dressing to be brought out first.
I had to wave down Kaylee, my server, to get my water. When she brought it I had to ask again for my salad. She brought my salad, but I had to wave down the manager to get the Ranch dressing.
My Salmon was crusted with something but I couldn’t taste any garlic.
Fresh spinach should only be cooked to order. Mine looked to have been sauted hours earlier and wilted, see photo.
My salmon was over cooked and dry.
Overall my dining experience was not good.
Should I ever have to come back to Alexandria, MN for my work, I will not be eating at Perkins.

Stopped at this location traveling through MN. Although our server was kind and attentive and our food was great, the manager/front desk lady up front was not. She seemed rushed, annoyed and condescending when we asked something regarding our bill. She proceeded to walk in the back/kitchen and loudly yell at one of the employees as they had made a mistake with something. Although I’d still recommend this establishment, a “leadership refresher” is definitely recommended for this lead team member.

Five of us came into the restaurant approximately at 8 PM. The server ( Becky I believe) was quick and on the ball and friendly as can be! We all ordered water and she had it out to us in record time. My mother takes a little longer to decide what she wants to eat, and Becky was more than patient with my mom taking a little extra time. She took all of our orders. I ordered the omelet but before ordering I had asked questions about the products used. The omelettes took a little longer to come out, which is OK because they were fresh and hot versus bringing all the food out at once, leaving some food to get cold. I bit into my omelet and it was 100% opposite of what I wanted. Perhaps I miscommunicated or it was misunderstood. I probably didn’t ask specific enough questions as I was tired, hungry, and in pain. I usually don’t complain about my food and I just eat it. However, for some reason, I was just unsatisfied and I said something, Becky and the manager addressed the issue quickly, professionally and kindly. They removed the omelette from the tab as well as did not charge us for the meal that I ended up with, the generosity and understanding was not expected. Their customer service was phenomenal and they went above and beyond. It is very difficult to find a business these days with excellent customer service!!! We were all just appalled, and we left their very happy. I ended up with chicken strips and french fries and they were very good. My sister did order an omelette as well, and it was very similar to mine and she loved it. Maybe it was just me being picky as I was overtired and hungry. However, Becky and the manager completely rocked the situation, I cannot say thank you enough. My dad called and also thanked them!

Thought we would try Perkins again after receiving burnt hash browns and burnt bacon the last time we were there over a year ago. Hoped the food got better, but it didn’t! It was just as bad, if not worse than before. It’s in our neighborhood, but we won’t go there again. Also, portions were small and expensive.
