The food was very disappointing! Bland and overcooked. Small portions. My boyfriends potatoes were drenched in gravy and soggy. Not impressed. Staff were all friendly and inviting and the restaurant was clean.

Do you really have to look up a review about Perkins? Come on? You already know what to expect! Especially if you grew up in Minnesota, you know exactly why you come here. It’s late at night, you’re hungry and you went somewhere to sit down and have a decent meal. Well you know Perkins is right for you. It’s simple as that.

Absolutely terrible experience. I regret not demanding a refund on the spot.
I ordered food to go and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting far longer than promised(30 minutes ).I finally asked for my order only to receive ice cold food! When I questioned how long it had been sitting there, I was told “about 5 minutes,” which is completely unbelievable. Fries and burgers do not get cold that fast.
The food was disgusting, clearly left sitting, and totally inedible as intended. This place clearly doesn’t care about food quality or customer time. No apology, no accountability just excuses.
I wasted my money here and learned my lesson. Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else. I will never return and strongly do not recommend this restaurant.

I ordered delivery through grub hub. I got two kids chicken strips, 1 chocolate chip pancakes, and a slice of pie. The chicken strips order was right. BUT I got no chocolate chips, no syrup, and no pie.
Not to mention it took an hour and a half to get. We live only 10 minutes away. It wasn’t the driver’s fault. He was there waiting for half an hour longer than the time it was supposed to be done.
Don’t ever order pick up or delivery here. You won’t get the right order or same quality as eating in. I will never be going there again because this is the second time I’ve ordered online and it’s been wrong. Never again.

While our service was decent, our server was maybe practicing to be in a pit crew for a nascar driver? She just got done taking drink orders we and when she came back my youngest wasn’t even in her high chair yet then on, she would ask our party of 6 (3 small children) approx. every 45 seconds if we were ready to order or not. I literally hadn’t opened my own menu even to look at it. So, I ordered for the kids while I read the menu to see what I could eat.
Next issue
We were given scratch off tickets and the waitress exclaimed that someone earlier that morning had won football tickets on the scratchers. Well, that story was a lie. They expired 2 days prior and you had to scan a qr code, then you had to enter the passcode on this website to find out anything.
Next:
We were never asked if we wanted a box, and my 2 youngest were charged for drinks when they were supposed to be included in the price with the kids meals. (No refills so it wasn’t that)
Unasked for opinion:
People go in to sit down at a restaurant to eat leisurely, catch up with friends, catch up with family, go on a date etc. if we wanted to be treated like we were in a drive thru we would have went to a drive thru
Next issue(s):
The bathrooms haven’t been updated, fixed or scrubbed down properly since probably 1999 and it’s obviously falling apart. Why have doors on your stalls when you can clearly see everything with the largest gaps and shortest doors that didn’t lock!

A cleaner/employee came in IMMEDIATELY after my daughter and I he clearly saw us. I had to stand in front of the stall while my daughter was trying to use it . HE didn’t get the hint and even snuck a peak at the stall next to her to see if anyone was in there. Highly inappropriate!
We came at 11:30 am on a Saturday. It was steady and busy still. There’s NO reason a grown man should be in those women’s restrooms during peak hours ‘cleaning’.
I used to LOVE it here. But now the food isn’t as good., the wait staff are clearly trying to get through the most amount of tables and not focusing on providing good service.
The only employees I did NOT see wandering around , chit chatting, Watching Her Struggle were the other servers.
TIP:
Please get runners for your food! Never allow servers to carry more than 2 plates . Giant trays for meals, and servers performing balancing acts with hot food near a toddlers head will eventually turn into the nightmare it could have.

Overall a great perkins, they seemed understaffed and tired, but I think they did great. One of my better experinces at perkins for sure! Food tasted good, and the table was clean. The bathrooms for sure need to have a redo and they had a space heater (plugged into an extension cord ) since the bathrooms seemed to have no insulation or environmental control.
