I had the Louisiana Lost Bread. It was very tasty and a real sugar rush. Our server was very attentive, polite and funny. Had some low key Jazz playing over speakers. Not loud though, just background level.

We stopped in for lunch and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience.

Even though there were several open four-top tables available, we were seated at a table crammed up against a pole. I was literally back-to-back with another diner less than two feet away, so we kept bumping into each other the entire meal. It made for a very uncomfortable start.

Service was also disorganized. There appeared to be multiple managers on the floor, but they seemed to be doing remedial tasks instead of actually managing the staff. There were plenty of waitstaff walking around, yet we had to ask twice just to get silverware. We also asked three times for water refills before anyone realized we meant all of our waters needed refilling—not individual cups brought out one at a time.

The food didn’t make up for it. The chicken jambalaya was served lukewarm and the chicken was noticeably dried out. Overall, nothing we ordered stood out as particularly good. The quality felt closer to cheap bar food—or a bad day at Applebee’s—than what we expected from a French Quarter restaurant.

We also noticed several other tables looking frustrated and asking bus staff to track down their servers, so it didn’t seem like we were the only ones having issues.

Unfortunately, between the cramped seating, disorganized service, and underwhelming food, it wasn’t a place we’d go back to.

This restaurant is located perfectly in the French Quarter and usually had a line. We were able to get in when it wasn’t busy. The food was delicious, and gumbo was spicy. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful with ordering. She was also very friendly. Perfect way to cap off our Bourbon Street afternoon.

How can this place only have a 3.9 rating? We come to NOLA 2-3 times a year and have yet to find another restaurant that rivals their Jambalaya, Gumbo, or ESPECIALLY their bread pudding. We love this place so much. Great food, people, and prices.

This is my go to restaurant for bringing visitors to. Everything folks want to tey in NOLA is on the menu, the prices are solid, and the service has been great. I’m a big fan of the blackened catfish.

Unlike a lot of the bigger names in the quarter, there’s much less of a line and the food’s just as good.

We stopped in with the family en route to the Saenger for the Tina play. Great service, and great food!! I got the Royal Blackened Catfish, and we also got The Platter and the fried green tomatoes and shrimp. Great time out with the gals!!

We came in as a large group, and they were able to accommodate us. Service is excellent! The food was amazing. I personally got the $10 breakfast special. It was a lot more than I expected, but the food was wonderful! Also, if you want some dessert, the Oreo cheesecake is great and the strawberry shortcake was light and refreshing – absolutely delicious! They also were able to make chicken and fries for one of the kiddos for breakfast. Highly recommend!!

Was told the fish was “Gulf fish and shrimp”
I wasn’t aware that tilapia and tasteless shrimp were found in the Gulf…..
If everything that was on my plate didn’t come out of a Sysco box I’d be real surprised.
I know you sell to tourists that mostly don’t know the difference and probably won’t be back anyway but please do better…. Not for me because I now know better and won’t be back but for you, have some integrity.

Excellent local cuisine! Great New Orleans atmosphere. Relaxed, unpretentious, large portions, friendly service. We shared an order of shrimp Creole plus each got a sandwich and fries. Po Boy is amazing! They do serve breakfast here all day and we were tempted but went with the lunch menu instead. Highly recommend!
