Imagine stepping through a doorway and traveling back in time, into an era where couples sip on malts and kids play on pinball machines, where Elvis croons through the jukebox and life’s a little simpler. That’s the feeling of visiting the Pepp’rmint Stick Drive-In. Our mom-and-pop shop has been in the family since 1948, so that feeling of nostalgia you get for a bygone era is the real deal. We make our burgers, fries, and thick shakes the old-fashioned way, lovingly cooked to order and never pre-made. Though times may have changed since we first opened our doors, we can assure you that here, good food and genuine hospitality haven’t gone out of fashion.

I seek out local Burger spots as I travel around and this was a nice find in Union Washington.
I have a penchant for peppermint ice cream so when I saw this was called the peppermint stick I assumed they would have good peppermint ice cream. That was a correct assumption. But the burgers were the real stand out here. I ordered the Texas hold’em which came with fresh slices of jalapeno. Not pickled jalapenos out of a jar. Everything was fresh and local, cook to order and absolutely delicious. You got to love the good old American Burger shack. This is a great example. Fries were good, and the ice cream after the burger was delicious. Originally I was going to order the ghost Burger but the very nice people behind the counter let me know that that was pure fire on a bun. I’m so happy they gave me that advice and I went to the Texas hold’em Burger which included bacon, jalapeno and barbecue sauce. My only regret is that I didn’t get a peppermint milkshake. I’m definitely stopping again as I drive through Union Gap Washington.

Great diner. The burger was very juicy and tasty! Menu is basic. Deluxe burger, double burger, bacon burger. That’s really all you need when the burgers are this good.
They also had chicken strips and some sides. The onion rings were good.
The shake was so thick they give you a spoon! I had banana, it was very flavorful and had real banana in it also.
Small dining area and the outside tables are okay. Next time I’ll order to go.

Food is all made to order. It is served hot just like your mom preferred it. Burgers, fries and onion rings taste great and are always worth the trip.

The soft taco used to be really good but they switched the meat up and now its not nearly as good, they also refused to add the hot sauce for me and I spilled it all over myself when I was driving.. However, the peppermint stick shake was too good, I drank the whole thing and about died from a diabetic fit. Delicious but very naughty.

I had my order through Door Dash and I was impressed! The way they wrapped my food made it preserve well through the drive and the cold weather. It got to me still warm.
I ordered an Apple Pie shake and they were out, and I loved how they made me feel better about that. It was great customer service.

Not sure if this place has tables to sit inside. We did the Drive Thru. Food is great, tastes delicious. We ordered Burgers, tots, onion rings, shared a corn dog, and a vanilla shake. Everything was great!

I found a burger in the Yakima valley that I like more than Miners and that’s THIS PLACE!! Super cute spot in Union Gap that echos of yesteryear. Staff is super efficient and food comes out quickly. Best part is the price. While I usually dine on the company dime, I still love a good value. Better price and way better burger than that other place. Worth your time and money to stop here.

This little spot is a cherished gem. They have some of the best burgers around. Their salads are definitely the best I have ever had. The staff is exceptional. They also have one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks in the valley!!
