Had food from here once before and it was okay. I remember the roti being hard. Decided to try them again and it was just awful. The shrimp curry was salty. The stew chicken had little to no salt and flavor. The gravy was thin. I’m not sure if they’re using poor quality oil but you can taste it on the roti and egg ball. As one of the few Guyanese restaurants on the Queens/Long Island stretch you are uniquely positioned to attract customers that are unable to get Guyanese food from Liberty. Do better. Don’t have a business for having a business sake. Take pride in the food you serve people.

Beautiful restaurant the decor is amazing. This establishment offered a variety of West Indian sodas, pastries and snacks.
As a foodie I expect more than looks. Let’s discuss the food quality. I tried several items:
Pepper pot- I have to admit I’m very disappointed on the pepper pot. Especially since this is the name of the restaurant. Too much sugar once you bite into the meat the instant taste of sugar was a turn off. This dish is a main staple in Guyana. It’s expected to be tender and flavorful.
Chicken Pattie-good but too cold
Roti- I had better 2 out of 5
Please note: Parking is very limited in this area. There’s definitely room for improvement with this establishment.

We had a wonderful experience at the Pepperpot. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that made it perfect for dining with friends or family. The staff was amazing—attentive, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations.
The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. Every dish tasted fresh and well-prepared, and you could tell a lot of care went into each plate. With the combination of great service, a comfortable setting, and flavorful food, this restaurant is definitely a place I’ll be returning to and recommending to others.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pepperpot Restaurant, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The welcoming environment immediately set the tone for a delightful evening. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the Guyanese chicken fried rice. It was nothing short of amazing! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making each bite a culinary delight. The attention to detail in preparation was evident, and it’s clear that the chefs at Pepperpot take pride in delivering top-notch dishes.
From the first impression to the last bite, my visit to Pepperpot was a memorable one. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a superb dining experience. Kudos to the team for creating such a wonderful culinary haven!

If you ever find yourself craving a meal that feels like a warm hug, PepperPot is where you need to be. Tucked away in Elmont this little eatery offers a delightful mix of Guyanese and Caribbean homemade comfort food with a creative twist.

I’m not an expert in Caribbean food but this restaurant definitely serves up something special!
I ordered some chicken wings. Crispy, juicy, and seasoned. A good bite but nothing outstanding.
I tried the Cassava balls and they were delightful. I’m not sure if they’re meant to be served slightly cold, but it didn’t ruin the experience for me.
The Pepperpot dish was amazing. It was lamb marinated in some sauce. The meat was tender and flavorful. The fried rice was delicious and enhanced by the lamb sauce.
A great place for a meal!

The woman that answers the phone WILL make you not want to give them business. We asked the lady a simple question, as to whether or not they had beef patties (a simple enough question for a restaurant advertising carribean cuisine) and was met with a hostile response that made us feel uncomfortable to order. She responded in a rude, snarky manner, saying that they didn’t have beef patties and not to ask about beef either, because they also don’t sell that. Unprofessional to talk to your customers like this, and made us not want to order from them anymore!

Great food, friendly atmosphere I really love the rice and peas, all chicken varieties. The Pholourie was delicious and best consistency I have had in a long time. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic tasting cuisine.
