Don’t buy gift cards from pepper jaks. My car was broken into and the cards were scanned by someone else. when I went in to ask if I could replace them, so that they couldn’t be used, I was told they don’t return or help you out. I will never eat at pepper jaks again. This was told to me by the council bluffs location.

I ordered me and wife’s food online which was just a Philly sandwich and a chicken rice bowl. I came in when it said it should have been done on Friday October 3rd around 7 pm. I waited in line to tell them I placed an online order. They said they were working on jt… cool. Well then the 3 people behind me all got there food before me! I asked the disheveled old guy where’s my food? And he panicked and said “all I can tell you is there working on it i dont know!” Which came off as very rude and unprofessional. FINALLY 30 minutes later my phillie sandwich was done and sat on the counter getting cold for 10 minutes and then the chicken bowl finally came up. Coming here was a huge mistake and I should have taken my business to Qdoba. I regret leaving a tip online for them. Ive worked in food service before and all I can say is they were unprofessional and running around like a bunch of chickens with there heads cut off.
The only reason I didn’t leave 1 star is because the food actually was pretty good but not worth the wait and the disrespect I felt as a paying customer.

I quit going to PepperJax in Council Bluffs a few years ago because my last couple visits the place was a pigsty and food prep not so good. But decided to give it another chance since really liking it before the last couple times there. They apparently got some new management, the dining area was clean and well kept, the outside table area was clean and the mens restroom was very clean. The staff was very respectful and diligent. The food was well prepared and tasted as good as I remembered. Thanks for caring PepperJax.

The new renovation is really nice! However, one employee with red hair is not very friendly at all. Uses gloves, but touches everything in the restaurant with them on then touches food with the same gloves . Not a fan of cross contamination. Breaking health code here.

The food was average, but the sandwiches were inconsistent. One was acceptable, while the other had noticeably less meat — about half of what I would expect. The fryers appeared dirty, and the floor throughout the restaurant, including the bathroom, was greasy and slippery, suggesting that proper cleaning products are not being used. Additionally, the person preparing the food seemed careless and inattentive. Overall, the experience fell short in both food quality and cleanliness. I will not be returning, and I hope management addresses these issues to improve their standards.

i came in during their dinner rush expecting less than and rushed work but the workers here are spectacular with their efficiency and their attitude even during stressful hours. the workers all smiled and treated me terrifically. the young lady at the cash register with the black hair and piercings treated me fantastically. she was a very nice and helpful employee and really ended the experience with a great feeling and a welcoming smile. i definitely will be returning!
