Really wanted to like this place, but eh. I got the Cubano, subbed the swiss for American, , which comes with an aioli sauce. As you can see, there was way too much sauce. It wasn’t even enjoyable. I took one bite and opened up the one side and I just did not want to eat it. I opened up the other to see if I could eat just that side, but it still was way too much. I ended up throwing it away within the three minutes I was sitting down.
I walked back up to let her know it was extremely too much, and I need to order something else, but she just said “oh”. I just decided to leave.
For the fries being advertised as “boardwalk” fries, they sucked. Definitely disappointed that my soft drink was the best thing I got here. For almost $20 for a more than disappointing lunch, not sure if I will be back.

Got lunch on a Friday at about 11:30 AM, no real line. The counter girl was friendly. Customers were nice. The food, I got a Reuben. Nice amount of meat, juicy and just perfect. Highly recommend.

My 2nd time here. This time I had the Peanut Butter Sunday (w/ vanilla Ice-cream *). Outstanding! Warm Brownie on the bottom. All the extras made it incredible.

Went here for a little family dinner. The sandwiches and shakes were great. It’s got a small inside with a handful of tables, but if the weather is good, there’s generous outdoor seating. I’d definitely come back.

It is edible. That is about as excited as I can get about this place. Unfortunately, it is the closest sandwich shop to me so my companions sometimes insist on getting sandwiches from here. My beloved Bon Fresco is 1000x better but someone has to haul to the other side of Columbia to pick it up.
At Pepperjacks’s the bread is often borderline stale. The proteins are all cheap, prepackaged, precooked deli meats. The lettuce and tomatoes are limp and sad looking. The chicken is a plastic, tasteless substance. If you took 5 minutes you could make yourself a much better sandwich.
Pepperjack’s is the kind of place that really irks me because they put absolutely no effort into making the product they sell. It’s an insult to their customers. Do better.

I really love this place. I’ve been here twice, the first time I came by around 2 years ago. Even back then this restaurant was very good. The prices are exactly what you would expect, about $16 with tax for a huge sandwich. The portions are really big, and the sandwiches themselves are really really tasty. I also saw people come in for milkshakes, they advertise fresh bread, and they have a spot for DoorDash orders. Highly recommended! I got the Chicken Ranchero.
The person working the counter was very nice, didn’t try to upsell me, just took my order and helped other customers. Exactly what you expect. Gave 4 stars because that is just them doing their job very well.
Atmosphere in my opinion is top notch, they have one of those old statues of a cartoonish guy right by the door, the whole building is in the middle of a neighborhood, they don’t play loud music, there’s plenty of seating inside (if you get in early. This place can get filled quickly) and there is also outdoor seating. I really loved it.

Place seems to be pretty popular, 2 stars for the milkshake alone. Asked for a cheeseburger sub (what kind of sub stop doesn’t sell cheesesteak!?!) with lettuce tomato and ketchup. Got a cheeseburger sub with lettuce tomato ketchup mustard onions and pickles. Asked to correct the order and was told it’s too late the food is already out so I just lost $20 on food I literally can’t even eat. Looks disgusting on top of that like the meat was just yanked out of the freezer and thrown right on the griddle. They also advertise boardwalk fries but you can tell they are store bought and taste nothing like boardwalk fries. Was scared to post the review when I remember they have a sign right up front that says there is a $5.00 charge for whining. Make food in poor taste then charge people to complain about it wow that should have been a red flag the moment I walked through the door. Good place for overpriced milkshakes tho

I consider myself an Italian cold cut aficionado – that’s my “go-to” when I try a sandwich place. That said, Pepperjacks had one of the best I’ve ever had! The bread is fantastic – a good solid sub roll – not mushy like all the chain sub places. The meat and cheese were fresh, and it was dressed up nicely. This was my first visit, but it won’t be my last!

When we went the food looked very packed and old. The milkshakes were really good though. But the person in the front was super nice.
