Celebrated an Anniversary here. Everything was outstanding. The Valet parking eliminated the frustration of finding parking. Waite staff was great and food was just outstanding. Beef carpaccio, fried Calamari, Ossobucco and the ribeye all delicious!

I like the food here and it’s a very nice place as well! But the grilled chicken and roasted potatoes are pretty bland. The roasted potatoes are a bit dry. But the food my dad ordered was pretty good, well seasoned and good sauce. Even so, I don’t think it was rlly worth the price. I’ll put a picture of his food below, my didn’t look very appetizing anyway, so I didn’t take a picture of it.

Small yet popular Italian restaurant in downtown Hartford. Went for the taste of Hartford event. Although I had a reservation, it took 20 minutes for me to be seated & after about 10 minutes of sitting, my date and I were moved to another table. No server/waiter ever came to take my order, offer any water/bread, or even introduce themselves. Donna, the hostess, took our order and provided great service, although she’s not a waitress. My meal was pretty good and so was the beverage. The dessert (not pictured) was a berry infused tiramisu that was not enjoyable at all. I understand the restaurant is quite popular, but staffing seems to be an issue. I’m not sure if I’ll return but if you’re looking for decent, authentic Italian food, feel free to give this place a try and absolutely make reservations ahead of time!

In my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Ct. The ravioli is handmade and better than anywhere in Ct. There is also a big list of specials daily and a great martini list.

Fabulous dinner! From start to finish, we had a wonderful meal! Arincini, meatballs, figs, calamari, and artichoke appetizers were awesome. And, our entrees were sooo good. Truffle pasta, short ribs, and Chicken Saltimbuca were fabulous! Great restaurant!

My first time dining at Peppercorns Grill was a great experience! The waiter attending us, music, the calamari + Caesar salad to start, my Entree was the bolognese fettuccini and last but not least favorite course DESSERT. DELICIOUS! Perfect date night.

I have been going to this restaurant since 1984/1985. Last night we had dinner with a couple that we haven’t seen in a few years and I picked this spot for us. I had the beet salad which was out of this world. We also ordered the tenderloin meatball app. DELISH! The Salmon was ordered for the entree and hubby said it was the best Salmon dish he has ever had. The sauce really made the dish. I had the homemade fettuccine with lobster and crab with a very light cream sauce. Out of this world. The steak dinner was also ordered and it looked really good. We had cocktails first and then ordered a bottle a wine. You can go big on wine on $$$ but what I can say that they do very well is their wine selection for under $50.00 is really super. We ordered a Ridge Geyersville from Sonoma for $47.00 and they had another Ridge for $37.00. Those are great wines and I don’t see them offered in other restaurants. It was Friday night and the place was packed at 6:30 and thinned out at 8:30 with just a few diners coming in. I have been there on theater night and suggestion on that is go to dinner after the theater crowd leaves. I have brought clients to the bar to celebrate after a closing because I love the bar and bar area. The service has never let me down. I have to say I am going to surprise my team this year for my Christmas party and have it at Peppercorns this year because the atmosphere and the food is just too good. After I finish writing this review I have to call and make the reservation. There is a parking lot adjacent to the building and you can park on the street which there is plenty of room. If you want a change from Max Downtown or TK – make the effort to drive just a minute more down Main Street and get the best surprise of your dining life. Salute!

I came here with my boyfriend for happy hour before seeing a show at the Bushnell. Happy hour ran from 4 to 7, which was great sense it was in extended time frame compared other restaurants nearby. They had drinks anywhere from $5-$7 and good appetizers. There was only one person behind the bar however and I think that made service a little slow, because it was really popular night. However everything was delicious and I’d recommend it.

My fiancé and I went to Peppercorn’s Grill yesterday before our show at the Bushnell. We had a delicious meal that was unfortunately accompanied by horrible service. We were seated at a ridiculously small table that was so wobbly we had to keep our feet on the table’s stand the entire time. And even then occasionally it would wobble so bad our drinks almost spilled! We ordered our food and then waited almost an ENTIRE HOUR for our food to come. The food was indeed amazing although I would have liked to have more time to eat it! I also asked for a lemon wedge that never arrived. Right after the food came I let our waitress know that I would need the check right away because we were scarce on time because of a show we had to attend. We had to quickly eat our meal and even after all that the waitress forgot to bring us our check back! She apologized but we were in such a rush at this point we didn’t even have time to use the restroom before we headed off to our show. Not at all what I expected from a restaurant that appeared to be so nice.

We went for Mother’s Day after a show at the Bushnell. Made reservations for 4 PM, but still sat us at a small table closest to the kitchen even though the restaurant was not close to full. The staff seemed frantic at the early hour. I always felt like there were people running around behind me, which made it hard to relax. A table that came in after us received bread, but we had to ask for it. Then, we had to ask for bread plates. The food was good, but my daughter’s pasta was undercooked even for al dente. Okay experience and food, but for the pasta prices, we will try somewhere else next time.
