Foam cups, plastic straws, indoor smoking what more could you ask for? A side of freedom? Sorry bud, already on the menu

Pepper Pod is an American gem encapsulated by nicotine stains, preserving true-to-form Greasy Spoons of the golden years.

The food is 11/10. Best Goetta in all of planet Earth, but specifically the limestone ridden region of Cincinnatus.

The tomato soup is divine, seriously. Simple eats are usually the best. Not just with American food, but Asian food too.

Highly recommend you drop by regularly because you can afford to with these prices. Service is prompt, booths are cozy, restrooms dimly lit as expected, and the American Diner experience at full throttle. Locals will be there, so get ready for some political debates we all do nothing about anyway.

Absolutely love the Pepper Pod. Best coffee hands down too! The most impressed by that. Mild and easy drinking.

I wanted to give 4 stars, but it’s hard in a place that allows smoking still. I know they are trying to accommodating to all patrons, but it takes away from the food when all you taste is the smoke. With that being said, the food was very good! Can’t beat whole spear for fried pickles and everyone was super sweet. It’s definitely a neighborhood place!

We needed to grab a bite to eat after an airport run and wanted some classic diner food and Pepper Pod delivered with Cincinnati area classics. The booth seats need some updates – general cosmetics. The food arrived quickly and was very good. The slab of gotta was huge. They also have daily specials listed on the board.

I had brunch with a friend and he was right. It’s like stepping back in time. Although they had modern music to play. The ambiance of the place reminded me of the ’50s. The food was delicious. The waitress was very personable and likable

Full disclosure!
They allow smoking inside their restaurant (didn’t know this was still allowed). There is a “nonsmoking section”, however you have to walk through the smoking section to get to it.
Service was slow, but overheard it said the other waitress did not show up.
Drinks were served in “To-Go” cups.
Portions were nice, the food came out quickly.

Classic in the truest sense. Ready hot coffee, local flavors like goetta (gotta try it!), swivel seats at the counter, creaky booths, and yep, smoking still allowed.
Don’t let that scare you off…the kitchen smells from where they’re slinging hash permeate the place

Effective in 2021, Kentucky put a ban on smoking indoor, how they get away with allowing patrons to smoke inside is beyond me! However, the bar area and dining room are separate, so the “smoking aspect is do able to a non-smoker. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the silver ware is mismatched, which made me laugh, styrofoam cups for dine in, and atmosphere is very silent, which is amazing.

My boyfriend, friends and I went to Pepper Pod for our letter “P” restaurant for the A to Z Challenge. It was just like it was when I went over 10 years ago. You can still even smoke cigarettes inside, just like the good ol’ days lol A wonderful little diner with amazing food. We got the Mac & Cheese bites for our shared appetizer. They were cooked perfectly. They were hot and gooey in the middle. We had a great time

Are you scouting for a 70’s diner, maybe your gum shoe detective comes in to talk to an undercover. Ceilings brown from decades of tobacco smoke. Classic dinner benches and bar seats. Decorative molding and railing around a center area for the servers to make coffee. No need to buy a fancy trash can, a left over food bucket serves the purpose just fine.
Quick food. Cheap prices. Great service.
