Pepper 1 was absolutely amazing. It’s probably one of the best places in Albuquerque for sushi and curry. The customer service was perfect and everyone there was so kind and welcoming. The menu has so many great options and the sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully made. Our server told us the chef has been in the sushi business for over 13 years, and it really shows. They even let us try handmade wasabi, which was the best I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great new sushi spot in Albuquerque.

We started with the Rainbow Roll beautiful presentation and impressively fresh fish. The only drawback was the rice, which could use a bit more volume for better balance.
The miso soup was the weakest point of the meal. It felt watered down and needed a stronger miso base to bring out the depth of flavor.
For the main course, we tried the beef and shrimp Lo Mein, and this dish alone will bring us back. The portion was generous, the seasoning was spot on, and the beef was incredibly tender.
Overall, a promising spot with standout moments. I’m looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu.

Let me preface this by saying for the last couple of years I’ve been working in the bay area with all kinds of excellent choices in Asian cuisine… Pepper 1 has great food! Ive had their Chinese and Thai style dishes so far and am never disappointed.
One time I ordered some Pad Thai and Wonton soup through door dash and the driver apparently thought the food was too good and didnt deliver. Pepper 1 redid the order and it was redelivered within 20 minutes. I call that customer service!

The place is so beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is so nice and calm, the food is absolutely amazing and the presentation of it too was so gorgeous, I had the las Vegas roll, rainbow roll and the orange chicken. The rolls were phenomenal the las Vegas roll was so nice and crunchy and the rainbow so delicious and my personal favorite. The orange chicken had an a great amount of sauce and it was some of the best orange chicken I’ve had, it came with rice and I loved that as well.

I’ve lived in California hell I’ve driven to California just for better sushi. For the first time I don’t have to leave just to get great sushi! This places owners are down to earth and put so much attention and detail into this great experience if you haven’t had a chance to swing by here yet do! Hands down the best sushi I’ve had in town and I’ve tried basically everyone at this point. Naka sushi king.. everyone doesn’t compare. Simply amazing

Really enjoyed the Mongolian beef with steamed rice. My hubby enjoyed the pineapple fried rice too! The grilled salmon sushi roll is delicious!
