This is NOT Pizza Express that was previously here. I am so disappointed in this pizza. I thought maybe they just changed their boxes not realizing this is a whole different business entity. I frequented here because Pizza Express was the closest to New York City Pizza I’ve had since moving here almost 10 years ago. This pizza has too much red sauce, the bottom of the Pizza is soft instead of crusted, the cheese topping is an odd grade(I can tell because of the color). Sane thing with the calzone, cheese wasn’t even melted properly and it was baked soft. As a NYC native Pizza is already a hard sell in Virginia but this really disappointed me. I didn’t even ask for extra cheese yet the cheese was stacked on the slices. The crust wasn’t even hard. Also now its self order if you don’t place your order online, be prepared to used the self ordering kiosk.

They have always been amazing. But they now offer gluten free pizza. My youngest just started her GF journey and it has been rough finding places to eat out on the weekend. Pizza Express Hit it out of the park. Thanks to Larry for adding it to the menu and letting our little girl be the first GF customer.

Listen! This place is a true gem. Recently relocated back to VA and so happy I found this place to fulfill my vegan pizza fix. The menu has alot of options, from pizza to gyros! I rated my 1st visit 10/10 I ordered a custom vegan pie with lite cheese, mushrooms and chorizo.
Go see Mr. Larry for some great hospitality!

Used to eat here very frequently and now it’s under new management and the food has really gone downhill. Got this today for lunch and it was awful couldn’t even eat it and threw everything away. Some of the noodles were hard.
Spaghetti and pizza (which I took a small bite of) seemed like it was old and reheated from the day before. Slice of pizza was so small and not worth the money smh also I’m not sure what that black stuff is around the edges of the spaghetti to-go container.

Tried Pepicelli’s for the first time a few days ago and was disappointed in the delivery with door dash but Pepicelli’s customer service was top tier. They called multiple times to check to see if I received my order and when I didn’t they said that was unacceptable, they made me a fresh batch of pizzas and used a different driver after the first driver got off with my order to get it to me asap. The food arrived hot and fresh and was phenomenal. One of my kids asked if we could order from this place again (which if you have kids, you know how picky they can be) so we ordered again tonight and I did takeout this time. The building was a tad confusing since it has signs that say pizza express rather than Pepicelli’s, but inside was the same great customer service that was friendly and asking me to check to make sure the pizzas look right. We got different flavors to try this time, and again everything is delicious. The mighty Zeus is my favorite! And I’m a bit of a cannoli connoisseur, and their cannoli is great with a nice crunchy shell and delicious filling. Definitely my new favorite local pizza place in Chester!

Okay so I actually used to praise this place and they literally made thousands of dollars off me because I would always go there for pizza and (i am a really hard person to please when it comes to Pizza. But they actually did such a good job for Chester va!.) It was so odd because nobody was Italian in there but they had the ability to make anything that they had really good. It was a solid place to get reliably tasty food.
I have not been back in there since they first re opened but let me give you my experience from their very first month. When I walked in there and saw different faces my heart sank, cuz this truly was my favorite place to get pizza. The guy did a really good job of talking up the New ownership and also did a great job of selling new ingredients/recipes to me so I thought why not.
Well I was so disappointed. The many tasty experiences I had unfortunately came to an end when they switched hands. Pizza was a margarita pizza and it had balsamic glaze on top of it which sometimes will work but you definitely have to go about it a certain way if you’re going to put that on a Margarita pizza and I actually took it back and got my money back. I was more disappointed than they were when I came back in and I think it’s because I was at that moment. He actually told me that the old owner was using all of these really cheap ingredients and nothing was actually cooked there. It was all pre-cooked and pre-made and it was freezer food but honestly his food tasted way worse. It’s not hard to prepare a pizza and most people like pizza. It’s an easy sell but this pizza was deplorable and it was interesting because he told me that they were from New York and I was like okay. So what part of New York are you from and how in the world did you ever stay in business there? Unless you were doing biZ in a place like times square where its mad touristy and people have no understanding of good anything. Even the tiramisu that I got was actually old and it had mold on it. Was crazy. So I got my money back and I decided never again + judging from the other comments I would say that was probably a good decision to make. To the people that are on here saying that the food is delicious and giving it five stars, please invest in some taste. I would be embarrassed to be putting up five stars on this restaurant. Ingredients were terrible and it was expensive… You’re going to waste your money so don’t. Turn around and walk the other way. Don’t even bother. If you have taste that is. If you don’t have taste and you don’t care what you put in your mouth, By all means go for it. But if you’re more discerning like I am and you really like good pizza and you know what good pizza is like, go to Pietro’s Pizza down the street on Osborne. That’s the best pizza thatt you can find in Chester

Very competitive prices, great quality, excellent flavor.
If you’re looking for that slice of pizza that hits just right, this is it.
They’re not afraid to char up your pizza if you order it well done, not enough places do this!

Check out the new Pepicelli’s (Pizza Express)! It’s awesome customer service was exceptional as they asked me to check my order to make sure I was pleased! Who does that? Okay, our pizza was hot and delicious from crust to toppings……yummy! Can’t wait to try other choices on the menu. Congratulations Pepicelli’s! Welcome to the neighborhood!

TL;DR There are better options in Chester, order elsewhere.
It’s really disappointing to see a place you ordered from regularly fall off so fast from new ownership, but here we are.
My wife and I ordered a large cheese pizza, fries, and onion rings (no onion pedals or special sauce anymore). The pizza was unsliced and lukewarm at best, the onion rings were lukewarm, but the fries were pretty decent.
Once we reheated and sliced the pizza it was just okay. Given all the different options for pizza in and around Chester we’re going to order elsewhere ongoing.

Pizza is okay, not as good as previously. Fries were great, wings were great. Mac bites were okay. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back to try some other items
