This is the best Pepe’s around. You can try the other franchise locations but they pale in comparison. The family and familiarity of the Batavia establishment goes above and beyond. We’ve been coming to this location for over 20 something years and will continue to as long as they’re there.

We usually love Pepes! They are a great chain of Mexican restaurants. However, I would not recommend this location. First of all, while eating our chips we requested plates and napkins multiple times and were never given any. We then ordered our food and sat for 45 minutes. Nobody checked on us. When we asked what was going on, the same waiter as before just came back with a notepad and took our orders again. We asked if the order had not been put in originally and he said he didn’t know, then quickly walked away. Our food finally came after another 30 minutes and they got 1/2 of the orders wrong. I ordered stuffed shrimp quesadillas and was given plain shrimp tacos. My mom ordered stuffed beef quesadillas and was given plain tacos in a corn tortilla shell. The waiter dropped it all off and then walked away from the table so fast we just decided to try eating what we were given. However, the food was not seasoned and had wilted lettuce in it. The waiters never checked on us except to deliver our food, and never acknowledged their mistake. When we finally flagged someone down to get our bill, we told them we were given the wrong food and they still charged us full price for the incorrect dinners….barely even apologized just said they were busy. I would definitely not recommend spending your hard earned money here!!

Pepe’s always delivers as a solid tex mex joint. Their margaritas are the best in town and the taco dinners are a filling meal.

The food is fine, but this is the second time we’ve gone recently and both times we were basically ignored. No refills on our drinks were offered, no extra napkins were brought, and when we asked for a refill on chips the waiter made a face. It really feels like we specifically aren’t welcome, as the waiters interact with every other table. Food is great and so are the drinks, but the treatment we’ve received has really turned us off of Pepe’s.

It was crazy one meal cost $25.00 not worth it could of got a nice steak for that considering u don’t know what meat u get when it’s drowned in HOT SAUCE. My meal was great tho but margaritas ugh ya $14.00 for sweet n sour mix NO never again sorry. We used to come to Pepe’s all the time what happen? Service was great I can’t say anything bad about that
