So disgusted from this place, I feel like I was scammed. To start, our total was $20 more than the menu prices show, due to “price changes.” I got the enchiladas Cozumel, literally just a dry tortilla with chunks of imitation crab rolled up, and a slab of melted cheese on top. No sauce of any kind, no seasoning, no flavor. My husband got the steak ranchero…. $28 (the menu says $15.95). The meat wasn’t even edible, definitely didn’t taste like skirt steak. We will for sure never be back, Taco Bell would have been much more satisfying for a fraction of the cost.

Caught a flat and was towed to Mavis Tires. After repair we came across the street to Pepes. The atmosphere was calm and the staff were welcoming. The food was great and they had a great little vip club membership that gave a complimentary meal. Although the deal had expired, they still gave us $10 off. Very nice establishment and very nice people. Give them a try.

I came in at 6:30 on a Saturday evening. The place was dead. I was seated promptly, The waitress was pretty matter of fact , she was definitely not over friendly or welcoming but I also can’t say that she was rude either.
I was seated in a booth as requested; The seats were ripped, tables are not in great condition and the entire area could use some TLC & a good cleaning. The menu was also not the traditional Pepe’s menu and was in rough shape.
The waitress went through the motions seated me, brought my basket of chips asked me if I wanted a drink and immediately asked me if I was ready to order.
The chips were awful with an odd aftertaste, the salsa was okay. My food came out pretty quick however the beans were terrible and the rice was dark & dry as if it been sitting out all day. There was a chip with sour cream however no avocado no lettuce or pico as it used to be served.
A bus boy came up and asked me if I was done and proceeded to take my plate before I was able to even finish my beans and rice. The waitress brought me my check without asking me if she could get me anything else.

This is the nastiest pepes I ever experience they are really serving spoil tamales and stale tostadas. I called them and they act as if they don’t speak English they need to be shut down ASAP

Don Pepe is rolling over in his grave. What the you-know-what happened to Pepe’s? Sure, it’s not high end food, but every now and then you want to go back for the nostalgia. Our first clue that this would be our last visit was the pool table that now sits in the dining room. The menu is only a fraction of what it used to be. No apps, missing many entrees, and lack of some of our favorites. I always have to have a Pepe’s taco with my entree. Let me tell you “Pepe’s tacos are NOT very good tacos.” Not any more. No way, Pepé. Then entrees came and they were flavorless, loveless, and plain ugly to look at. Sad. Via con Dios, Don Pepè.

Please stay away from this place, over priced for horrible food, steak fajitas cost 35.00, that’s crazy and most certainly not worth it. They charge for extra salsa and chips, never heard of such a thing. There was not one person in this place, that should have been a sign to just turn around and leave.

Ordered Uber Eats., no set up for fajitas as described on website cheese, guacamole, sour cream, no chips. So tortillas meat and cold beans. Ordered a large salsa am I supposed to drink it? Ordered no veggie on my child’s burrito had veggies. $68 food order and it was not edible for my son, my meal was just meat and tortillas. Nevermind aside from the huge chunks of chicken. It was rather flavorless. Was offered a credit for a future visit. Umm no, not going to waste more money on flavorless food, w no toppings as described or receive a burrito that is inedible for the person who ordered it.
For an area w amazing mexican food this place is an absolute disappointment. Save your money and go elsewhere. Food prices are way to high to not receive what was ordered.

Santa Claus
Went for their lunch buffet. Not 1 soul there at 1230pm. All inside lights were off and was approached by someone looking surprised by my being there. He asked if he could help me and was told they no longer have a buffet. By the looks of things, they don’t have customers either!

Terrible customer service and because all family work here they take their time and know they won’t lose their job. They don’t refill your drink in a timely fashion. Owner is a wonderful guy but, he really doesn’t keep up his restaurant. You can sit forever waiting for a bartender to show up and when they do their mind is on the empty room next door. Guy behind bar had long nails that is a health issue. I had a hair in my cocktail that was a bit gross, cleanliness needs to be taken care of here.
A shame because with a new TRAINED staff this place could be back to what it was but, the owner cutting corners to save on a good staff by employing family is hurting him. And, the customers that they are losing because of what is mentioned it’s hard to come back from. Oh and, Never order beef here, it is grisley and fatty. Chicken or shrimp is better here.
