Restaurant did not have eggs and refused to fulfill my Uber eats order. 2 drivers later and the restaurant did not cancel so I cancelled on my end to save a third driver from going there… and got charged $17 for cancelling despite the food being refused to fulfill. Not a great start to the day.

I placed an online order for pickup and after going into the store I watched a man, not sure if he’s the owner or the manager, berate his employees loudly in front of the entire restaurant. I’ve managed everything from construction sites to fast food restaurants and never once have I talk to an employee like this in front of customers or their coworkers. This guy was going on a power trip like I’ve never seen. The food here is always fine but this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

We’ve been coming to Pepe’s Mexican Café for decades, and it still delivers every time. In a fast-changing B/CS community, this longtime staple has weathered the growth and transformation while staying true to what makes it great. It’s not new or fancy, but it’s consistently good, affordable, and dependable. Plus its a locally owned small business, employing our neighbors, keep your dollars local.

I want to this place some months ago, to do a photoshoot for doordash, but, when I came IN, I felt a disgusting smell in the whole place, I saw a dirt sticked in the kitchen wall, then, at the nearby of the restrooms entrance, in the ceiling, I saw a lot of moss, Hold my breath and stay strong until I finished the job, but the feeling of disgust was too much. In the end, I was able to finish it, but that day I couldn’t eat anything, and I had difficulty eating for two or three days. That place should be closed before they kill someone…estuve ahí el Domingo 29 de septiembre del 2024, aqui te dejo la prueba.

I went through the drive through Sunday morning at 9:30 for some breakfast tacos. Even though online and the drive through menu said they serve breakfast at that time, the worker said that they don’t. Problem #1. The next issue is my daughter wanted guacamole. The drive through menu said that they have guacamole as a side, but again, the worker said they don’t have that either. Problem # 2. I then ordered my kids a chicken fajita taco, but when I was watching through the window, the lady was pouring the “chicken fajita” onto the tortillas out of a paper cup as if she just warmed it up. Problem #3. Let me just say, when I sat down and looked at this “chicken fajita” it literally looked like the chicken you get from a bag in the freezer section of a grocery store. Was 100% not grilled and it was gross. I’m NOT a picky eater at all, but I wouldn’t have touched it with a 10 ft pole. My kids said it tasted horrible and they didn’t eat it either. Waste of money. Save your hard earned money and go somewhere else please!!! The management there really needs to revisit customer service and the quality of their food being served to families.

Respectfully change the hours of operation, i have personally shown up multiple times this month for breakfast and every single time have never even been acknowledged. I’ve literally hung out and heard people moving around the fenced in area and nothing, im tired of craving a pepes breakfast taco and having to settle for whataburger.

Update- I decided to stop by this morning at 9:30am to grab some breakfast and was told that breakfast was unavailable. I asked what time breakfast hours were and was told ” we are supposed to have breakfast but their is no breakfast and to order from the lunch menu.” I think im done trying pepes.

A favorite place amongst the locals. When you walk in you’re greeted with a smile. You always feel welcomed here. The food is delicious and at good prices. If you have never been here give it a try. You will not regret it!

Horrible experience. I ordered online at 835am, they “open at 8am”, when the restaurant was supposed to be open, then arrived when the angry owner arrived to say they weren’t open. No reason was provided and he was incredibly rude and extremely angry—this place looks like an abandoned shell of a restaurant and I see why this place is struggling with an angry owner that yells at customers. Stay away and take your business elsewhere.

My FAVORITE local taco place in Bryan/College Station. In business since 1969. I drive from Houston to get my 3 crispy tacos with extra beef with light lettuce. What makes it so special? The seasoned ground beef and hot sauce. A MUST TRY!

I recently visited Pepe’s for the first time in 40+ years. After seeing Pepe’s campaign asking folks to support our local businesses including Pepe’s our group of four stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday.

They are in the same location and building. Nothing fancy. The building is colorful and the dining room is not huge. We enjoyed the corner booth by the window.

Two of us ordered the beef enchilada dinner and two ordered burritos. Everyone was surprised at how delicious the food was. The dinners were large enough for two meals.

Seriously, the food was delicious.
