Came in on a Friday afternoon and ordered the asada fries and chilaquilles and both were delicious!! Service was very good. Food came out quickly, portions were great, prices were decent. We also got the Horchata(forgot to take a photo) and that was delicious as well!! Would definitely come back if I am ever in the area again.

I just found out about this place and I can tell you this much, the two times I have come here food and service hasn’t disappointed. Food is well made and delicious. Presentation is good and the place is very clean. Our waitress has been very friendly, attentive and fast with attending to us. Special requests are easily accepted and they are quick cooking the food. Prices are affordable and portions are big. Definitely check them out!!

Great Mexican Food Restaurant in the heart of Rosamond. Just our second time here and our experience has always been Excellent. I was craving for Pepino (Cucumber) Drink and though it wasn’t on their menu….they made not just one but three just for us.
Server and staff are very friendly and would definitely recommend this Restaurant if you’re craving some Mexican food.

First time going there today, had a mix up in my order but it was handled quickly and replaced. Customer service is great. And my food was amazing! Will definitely be going back to try out more.

This new restaurant on Diamond Street is better than most in the area. The service was great with the waiter checking in multiple times throughout our meal. The wait for the food was not bad and the food itself was pretty good. The prices are agreeable for what you get. The atmosphere was also very clean and open. Would recommend, especially if you want a nice quiet meal. Serves breakfast all day as well as traditional American and Mexican dishes.

Absolutely delicious and truly authentic!
We were visiting my siblings in Rosemond and wanted to grab a good lunch, so my wife started Googling authentic Mexican spots nearby. She landed on PEPES KITCHEN, and when I asked why this place over the others, she said the moment she saw “el pescado frito entero” (whole fried fish) on the menu, she knew this place was truly authentic, since most Mexican restaurants don’t offer it. And wow—she was absolutely right.
We ordered food for everyone, and every single dish was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care and authenticity. The food was so good that I completely forgot to take pictures for this review! That alone should tell you how good it was. Instead, I’m sharing a picture of PEPES KITCHEN itself so you can go in and see for yourself.
I was so impressed that I told my other brother who also lives there about it. His response? He and his wife are going today to check it out themselves. That says it all.
Thank you, PEPES KITCHEN, for the incredible food and outstanding service. This place is a gem, and we’ll absolutely be back every time we’re in town!

It’s a very clean and positive cafe. I come here often and the waitress that works mornings is a very kind and positive lady I really enjoy her energy. The food and beverages are very good and well priced. Even though it is in a not so great street is really added positivity to the area! I love this cafe and will continue coming often!

We decided to stop by Pepe’s Kitchen to support the new business in town. From the start, the place had a lively vibe the mariachi band playing added a lot of energy and excitement to the atmosphere, which was a nice touch and really made us feel welcomed. We were greeted right away, and that initial interaction felt warm and inviting, which got us excited to see what the meal would be like.

However, there were a few bumps along the way. When our server came to take our order, I asked for a glass of water and was surprised to hear that they don’t offer tap water and that I’d need to buy a bottle. Then, she asked if we’d like chips and salsa, and we agreed, thinking it was complimentary as in many other restaurants. We later found out there was an additional charge for the chips, which caught us off guard. I get that small businesses have to manage their costs carefully, so I understand the decision to charge, but unfortunately, the chips themselves were bland, and both types of salsa she brought were even less flavorful. The lack of seasoning or spice really took away from the experience.

For drinks, I ordered an Horchata, which was priced at $6. I expected a nice, refreshing drink with that classic cinnamon and rice flavor, but the taste was overly rich and heavy on condensed milk, overpowering the other flavors. It didn’t have the traditional taste I was hoping for, which was a bit disappointing.

When it came to the food, I have to give them credit. I ordered a California Burrito, and this did not disappoint. It was packed with well-balanced flavors and had the hearty, satisfying taste you’d want in a burrito. My wife went for the 3 hard shell taco combo. Unfortunately, the tacos missed the mark—they didn’t have the bold flavors we were expecting. However, the side of beans that came with her meal was delicious, so it wasn’t all bad.

Service-wise, it felt a bit lacking. Aside from taking our order, bringing out the drinks, and delivering our food, we barely saw our waitress. We didn’t have anyone checking in to see if we needed anything, and in the end, we had to get up ourselves to request the check, which left us feeling a bit overlooked.

I don’t enjoy leaving critical feedback for a local business, but I hope they can take this review constructively. Pepe’s Kitchen has a lot of potential with its lively atmosphere and good menu ideas. If they can work on adding flavor to the basics like chips, salsa, and tacos, and improve on service touches to make customers feel more attended to, I think they could become a popular spot in town. There’s room for improvement, but they’re off to a decent start.
