The name “Baekjeong” comes from the Korean term “butcher,” indicating we only serve fresh and highest quality meats that offer a dining experience to showcase the most essential and unique qualities of Korean barbeque. Baekjeong was ranked as one of “101 best restaurants” by food critic Jonathan Gold and named as the “World’s Favorite Korean Barbecue” on Eater in 2017. Baekjeong is loved by the locals and is also considered a must-stop destination for tourists from all over the world.

Located in Alderwood Mall, Baekjeong offers a high-energy, premium K-BBQ experience. The standout is their tableside service; expert staff handle the grilling of high-quality USDA Prime beef and pork, ensuring every cut—from marbled short ribs to juicy pork belly—is cooked to your preferred doneness.
The unique circular grill features perimeter wells for corn cheese and steamed eggs, which cook alongside the meat. Pair your meal with their signature kimchi stew and vibrant banchan for a truly authentic feast.
Pro tip: Use their online reservation system to skip the legendary wait times!

Great addition to Lynnwood, though LA sets a high bar
For those unfamiliar, Baekjeong is a famous chain from Korea with several iconic locations in LA. While I haven’t been to the original in Korea, the LA spots are my go-to favorites, so I’m comparing this new Lynnwood location to that experience.
The interior here is great—open, inviting, and perfect for first-timers. The service was excellent, and like the LA locations, they handle the grilling for you (a premium touch you don’t always find at local KBBQ spots). The menu and pricing are very similar to what you’d expect from the brand.
I did notice a slight dip in food quality compared to LA. The meat there tends to be leaner, the seasoning is a bit more refined, and they are much more proactive about swapping out the grill plate between different cuts of meat. That said, chain standards are usually highest in LA, so that’s a tough comparison.
Overall, it’s still a fantastic experience. If you’re a first-timer or comparing it to other options in the Lynnwood area, I definitely recommend giving Baekjeong a try!

The food was great! The servers cooked the food for us and grabbed us refills quite often since we like our radish. The ambiance was a little noisy at times, but we were still able to hear each other. Will definitely come back for another dinner occasion!

Waaay too much dust stuck by grease to those rafters, and pretty spartan decor, no bartender and only a few servers to help when we went on my birthday. That not by any means a critique of the staff who was there as they where awesome. They attended to you once the food was at the tableside, we wanted to cook our food, but the staff would skillfully see when we were about to cook something too hot or too cold and would casually walk by and drive by adjust our bbq to suite our needs without interruption and with subtle guile. When we asked for help with the pork jowl (as that’s something I have never had experience with) they where kind and helpful and engaged in casual conversation. The food…… Dank. Double dank if you will. Very good cuts done well, with all the trimmings and accoutrements you would want, cheesy corn, kimchee, fried egg, sesame oil and salt, alongside a variety of sauces veggies and root vegetables. And in a party of six the price to performance ratio is insane. This is not an all you can eat spot, BUT the quality is unmatched and a combination plate and a pork jowl order left us all satisfied. Would be a 5 star from me, you may think it is, just don’t look up. And I wish there was more staff, not only for the patrons but also for the staff that were there running around like mad while delivering service to a lot of tables. Bonus points for delicious korean beers in ample sizes. I recommend this place to my friends, family, and now you dear reader as well.

I missed this place ever since I tried it in New York. The meat is really fresh, and they grill it for you so you don’t have to do anything yourself the experience is amazing. Their side dishes are delicious, and my favorite is the beef tartare. The service is also excellent.

Have been here two times with my fam and it was amazing both times! I highly recommend the fried dumplings it’s so good and there was the cut of beef that was yummy too in the beef mix. Side dishes were yum, I’ve tried both soups and like the kimchi one the best! Service was amaze, the host is so nice and the waiters are professional! There’s this girl who flips the meat for you too and I love her she’s really helpful. Atmosphere is nice as well you have enough space to not feel cramped and it’s well lit, clean, and hardly a wait to eat. The vents catch the smoke really well so it’s never smoky. Also, one time I left my shopping bag after a meal and I called to see if they had it, they kept it in the lost and found for a whole week! So ty guys for that :)) overall 10/10 will come again B)

Servers cook and cut the bbq for you at the table. Excellent service. Quality meat selection. Ventilation vacuum unit is very strong – you don’t leave smelling like bbq. Would come back again!

It’s not real Korean BBQ, but it still tastes good. They have a good system to run the huge restaurant. The marinated Galbi was like it was dipped in corn syrup. But, the pork jowl was good. We spent $300 for dinner and left the restaurant full.

Overall it was a great experience! I would recommend going earlier, we got right in. During peak times they were very busy and seemed like people were waiting as we left. Although it was very busy, our server William was so great! He was so helpful with our food requests and wonderful customer service. My mom enjoyed her birthday lunch.

I just had one of the best Korean BBQ nights ever, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible server, Caysha!
The restaurant itself is fantastic—the tabletop grills heat up perfectly, the vibe is lively and cozy, and the smell of sizzling meat hits you the second you walk in. The galbi was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that ideal sweet-savory marinade, and the pork belly got beautifully crispy on the grill. The banchan selection was generous and spot-on: spicy kimchi, garlicky spinach, refreshing cucumber salad, and more—all super fresh and flavorful.
But honestly, Caysha stole the show. She was amazing from start to finish—warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to make our meal special. She gave spot-on recommendations (her favorite cuts and how to pair them with the sauces were perfect), timed the grilling like a pro so nothing overcooked, kept our lettuce wraps, side dishes, and dipping sauces flowing without us ever having to ask, and just had the best energy. She made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were regulars even though it was our first time. Her kindness and knowledge turned a great meal into an unforgettable one.
If you’re looking for authentic Korean BBQ with exceptional service, this place is a winner—and ask for Caysha if you can. She’s the real MVP! We’re already planning our next visit.
5/5 stars, highly recommend!
