It’s been a long time since we’ve enjoyed BBQ this much! Pepe’s DID NOT disappoint! We had the rotisserie chicken platter with rice, veggies, and steamed potatoes. The chicken SOOOO FLAVORFUL and moist, the veggies al dente and not mushy, just perfect, the steamed potatoes were topped with EVOO, garlic salt and their DELICIOUS green sauce once we got home! WOW! Definitely earned a spot in our take out rotation. The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the service quick! Keep up the good work guys!

We have loved ordering from Pepe’s for a while, so I decided to get a catering order of the best BBQ for my boyfriend’s birthday party! The staff were very helpful and accommodating when placing the order and the food was hot and ready on time for pickup. We had the pork ribs, rotisserie chicken, lomo saltado, maduros- everything was absolutely delicious and fresh, and the price was great for the generous portion sizes. The ribs were a HIT. 10/10 highly recommend and will be back. Thanks Pepe’s for making the party so special!

Great takeout spot! We ordered the lomo saltado and rotisserie chicken, both were delicious. The food was a bit salty, but the hibiscus drink balanced it nicely.

the food here is great but they are overpriced. this meal that i ordered was $24, no drinks or extra sides. other BBQ spots give out SILVER PANS for this price. i was in shock when i got it. in this economy that is ridiculous. i used to order from here and this is what i would get for the lunch special and the food is good but no way, prices have obviously gone up.

This location doesn’t disappoint. Although I usually just pick up my food or have it delivered, I decided to bring a coworker to try the spot out and sit. Tiny place, a bit on the cold side too. There was little follow and one woman struggled to understand we needed To-Go boxes. I asked her to give me two separate bags and she put everything in one bag. It’s definitely best to just get take out or delivery. The food is always good which is why I kept the rating high for all.

Small restaurant that I’ve been going to for a while every now and then. Might be my last time stopping by, first of all they really don’t have any pricing on the menus. They say they have lunches starting at $12 but that changes with what you order. I ordered a fish lunch special and asked for a additional quarter dark chicken, just the meat. I was told that it was $11 for a quarter of a chicken $2 dollars less than the whole meal. That’s absurd, what am I eating the wagyu of chicken? Business practices like this are why restaurants fail not saying these people will but it’s definitely bad practice to charge $11 for a quarter of a chicken with no sides. Bad enough the portions are small here. Will go elsewhere moving forward. Help the working class out guys!

Terrific little Peruvian barbecue spot. For me there they are local I can get delivery or pick up relatively quickly. Staff is friendly and professional. Prices are low but the portions are beyond generous! You get so much good food for your money, their yellow rice is amazing! They always cook my food to perfection.

I was referred to this place by one of my brothers who lives in West Orange, NJ and he was 1000% correct!!
I walked in Friday evening and had the 1/2 rotisserie chicken, rice & black beans, plantain (tostones), and a slice of red velvet cake. Compliments to the chef or chefs as the food was that memorable that I went back the next morning when they opened up and treated my brother and I to Saturday brunch.
The seasoning and juiciness of the chicken was phenomenal, white rice and black beans was hot and mixed together incredibly and the plantains were excellently cooked. The slice of red velvet cake was so soft and whomever baked it deserves to be on TV in a baking competition! Seriously!!!
There are times when something happens once and you can say, “Okay, wow – this was good!” To have a repeat of the delicious food and awesome customer service from the employee behind the counter, let’s you know the business is built on satisfaction! (I wish I had gotten the name of the guy who took my order both times because he was totally professional and exuded such a chill vibe)!
Told my wife and daughter, when we come back to NJ, we are going to Pepe’s BBQ!!!!!

I’m giving it three stars all around but it’s truly because of the pricing. Any higher rating wouldn’t reflect my displeasure. I get on ubereats today and I noticed the combo order I always get half chicken and beef rib combo has went up in price which truly sucks
The combo used to be just $20 not counting the fees at checkout and today I get on and it’s $21.60 before the fees truly enjoyed this place so it really sucks

This grilled chicken will rock your socks off. Better than Ferry Street Barbecue. Also be sure to get a bottle of the green sauce. On another day I had Pepes cater my son’s birthday party. The smoked dino ribs were a huge hit. Simply outstanding.
