The most terrible pulled pork nachos ever. There was both bark and fat somehow included in the very small portion of meat topping uncooked and overcooked tortillas and some watery sauce served on paper setting atop a pie ten I will say the smell outside is alluring and the food is fast but of no quality. The Chief Sauce is good…

This is the BEST gluten free barbecue I have had, and best bbq spot in Pensacola. I recommend this place to anyone, ESPECIALLY those with an allergy or intolerance to gluten. Everything on the menu can be made gluten free and it tastes amazing. My server, Larissa was very helpful and attentive. The gluten free onion rings and fried pickles are a must try!

I cried happy tears over fried pickles. Full stop.
As someone with celiac, walking into Pensacola Smokehouse felt unreal… in the best way. Having an entire menu of safe, gluten-free options filled with all the foods you typically don’t get to eat is so refreshing… and somehow everything we tried was absolutely amazing, not just “good for gluten-free.”
We came with a party of seven and sampled a little bit of everything. I ordered the appetizer sampler (fried pickles, okra, and cracklin’s) with ranch and beer cheese, plus the gluten-free mac & cheese topped with brisket and it was actual heaven. Like, the kind of meal you think about days later.
The environment is welcoming and really nice, our server was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, and the whole experience felt thoughtful from start to finish. This place is truly a Pensacola gem.
I’ll definitely be working my way through the menu for the foreseeable future… although it might be hard not to just keep reordering what I already had because it was that good. If you’re gluten-free (or honestly just love great food), this spot is a must.

Skip the meats, go for the appetizers. The fact that they have all these awesome fried options that are gluten free is what makes it worth coming here. Those onion rings are where it’s at and the cheese curds too. The meats are mid and not smoked long enough.

Great spot just off the main strip. Got the meat sweats platter and split it with 2 people, had extra and got another whole dinner out of it the next day too, for a modest price of $65. The brisket was mouthwatering, the chicken had a wonderful flavor to it, chopped pork was amazing and the ribs were spectacular. The manager who also cooks was super nice as well was the waitress, very inviting and kind folks. I was glad to give them a shot and we will return. If you want alcohol they had numerous options and flavors. Street parking is mostly free near here too.

Amazing meals! We were so impressed by the tenderness and flavors of each of our meals and appetizers. Highly recommend! If you’re in Pensacola you will want to eat here. Especially if you have a Gluten or Soy allergy. And our server Brandon was great.

Pretty cool place. The server was really good and attentive. When asked what kind of wood they used to smoke their meats he didnt know which seems like a pretty important thing to know. As far as the food goes it wasnt anything spectacular. Using cedar to smoke the meat is a pretty bizzare move. The brisket i ordered had very little flavor and was dried out. It was definetly older and reheated. I ordered it lean and was charged 2 extra bucks for it and definitely didnt get lean and got slices from the point. The potato salad was really good and the mac and cheese was bland and not really cheesy. My wife got the pulled pork and that as well was old and reheated so it was pretty dry. Her baked beans could have been really good but they had been burned in the pot when they were heated up. If it was a busier time then the meat may have been fresher and better. May give it another shot before giving up on this place.

I wanted to like it I really did. And maybe they were having an off day but Saturday night you should be on your A game. Probably the worst brisket I’ve ever had in my life. It was closer to a Sunday roast then True BBQ. No bark was never brought up the temperature for the brisket to release become tender. It was dry and like eating leather strips no seasoning no flavor. I will say the jalapeno cheddar sausage links were amazing that’s the only reason I’m not giving this a one star . The staff was professional polite but it was just all around not good . The pulled pork wasn’t even pulled pork it was cubed up cuz once again they didn’t get the pork to the right temperature for it to fall apart. The pulled chicken was dry and impossible to get down. The thyme roasted half bird was pretty decent as well as the baked beans and coleslaw. Overall I was highly disappointed and frustrated at spending $100 and getting a below subpar meal. When a chain restaurant like Sonny’s or Dickies does better barbecue you know you’re not doing something right and it’s a shame because I would rather support local small businesses. But you have to put out a decent product or make way for another place that can. I will go back at one point and try the brisket again just to see if it was an off day and I will increase or decrease my rating based on what I eat. I would love for them to succeed but you need to put out edible food first.

Our family and I enjoyed an awesome GLUTEN FREE meal here. It’s always a challenge to find a GF family restaurant when we travel, Pensacola smokehouse is the place and the food was great!

When we arrived, our server immediately listed a litany of items we couldn’t order because they were sold out. Unfortunately, that included the ribs, which was what I’d really wanted to order. Instead I got a burger and fries. The fries were hand cut and pretty good. The burger was another story. It came out covered in a white, thick, gravy-like substance that had the color and consistency of Elmer’s glue. It also had very little flavor. It seemed to serve no purpose except to make the burger messier and less enjoyable. I’m not sure who thought adding that mess to a burger was a good idea. We tried the place since we hadn’t been in before. I’m not in a hurry to come back. Your mileage may vary.
