Do not miss Penny’s Diner a classic-looking spot with way more personality than you’d ever expect.The theme is cute and retro, but the real magic is in the one-man comedy-cooking show happening inside. We don’t know his name … let’s just call him Grill Daddy Supreme … but this guy was the waiter, chef, host, and stand-up comic all in one. One group walked in behind us and he shouted, “We’re full! Can’t serve ugly people today!” Another crew wearing baseball gear heard, “Sorry, we’re short-staffed. Can’t serve baseball folks today!” He had the whole diner laughing and somehow still managed to serve up amazing food with a smile. There was a young girl helping out, but Grill Daddy Supreme was clearly running the whole circus. At one point, someone peeked in the door and he yelled, “I can only do so much! Might wanna jog to McDonald’s!” Pure gold. We got there just in time and ordered the Sunrise Skillet. We were seated right by the grill, so we watched the magic happen. It was hot, hearty, and absolutely delicious so good I forgot to take a photo before digging in. (I did snap one mid-bite. That sourdough? Ridiculous.)This wasn’t just a meal it was a memory. Great food, hilarious service, and a diner experience unlike any other.

WOW!!!! I font remember her name, but our server/cook yesterday evening(8/27/25) was amazing. Start to finish. Kind, enthusiastic, helpful, and every other good word you could use!
The food was so so perfect. We got exactly what we ordered and exactly how we wanted it. Hash browns were extra crispy(as ordered) and our over-easy and over-medium eggs were actually cooked right!! I even took photos because I was so surprised how great they were. Chili-cheese fries were smothered and piping hot.
For people who miss the taste of home but can’t go home, this was the most perfect dinner/breakfast we could have asked for. Cannot wait to come back!!

I had the club sandwich, and at first glance, I thought they burnt the toast on the sandwich, but it tasted wonderful. Juicy Tomatoes lunch meat was soft, and moist lettuce was crunchy, and so was the bacon. Not too much mayonnaise it was overall really yummy sandwich.
The French tip was a typical French dip, but no complaints. Chicken fried steak was good, extra crispy, but still really good. Could have maybe used some more gravy or extra gravy. My daughter didn’t ask because she is shy. She also got 2 eggs. I just didn’t take a picture of them, and they were a perfect over easy.

I am so happy we chose to have breakfast at Penny’s Diner while we were in Rawlins, WY. Our server, Andrew, was the best! He was nice, friendly, attentive, and just a great guy! He even chatted with us while he was working and made us feel welcomed. The food was perfect. If you go, the cinnamon roll is a MUST!!!! It was huge. The dough was not a thick and dense dough, it was light and generously covered in a delicious icing! The atmosphere was perfect for the location. The only negative thing is that it’s not here in Arizona! 5 stars in my book*****

Just driving by when I stopped in. The waiter/waitress were counting the till, which I totally understand, however they didn’t acknowledge me until they were done, leaving me to stand awkwardly behind them for a solid five minutes. When they did acknowledge me, they told me to “sit wherever”. I sat down and noticed the “order online” QR code. So i ordered online. When the waitress came over she started to list everything they were out of, including my fries and a milkshake I’d already ordered. She told me there was no way to refund the online purchase so I could substitute with stuff or nothing. The food was good, I didn’t get my shake, but thems the breaks as far as a roadside diner goes I suppose ♀️

Good basic diner food! Nothing super special but not bad by any means at all! I’ve never eaten in the restaurant but always gotten food to go. Sometimes I had to call multiple times before getting an answer but it’s not a huge deal!

Worst country fried steak I had in life. Service is not good. Why are cooks taking orders? Whoever is running this place needs to wake up 52 bucks for complete garbage. Hire some people who actually care or shut the place down

Love stopping by this particular Diner. All people mesh, talk, just an exciting place. The food has always been good and tasty. Love you can have breakfast anytime. The green chili is something you have to try. It truly can go on anything!
