A bit disappointing. Penny’s has the look and atmosphere of a rural, local Diner, but the menu and the food seem to be somehow corporate, like it’s part of a chain or a franchise. That said, the waitresses were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was good and reasonably priced. They have a few creative menu items I’d like to try so I will definitely go back.

Food is good depending on the cook. At busy times order taker will encourage you to leave by inflating wait times. Not the cleanest place, partially due to only 2 employees. This place can randomly get busy fast due to location. Broken stool hasn’t been fixed in several months. Only two people working and one prioritize smoke breaks at inappropriate times. Prices are on the higher end, poor service do not help.

Cute place, nice but inattentive staff. The food is not as good as a waffle House or huddle house but is the same price range.
P.s. the menu shows a thin waffle like waffle house, it is actually very thick and tough. If you are offered a squeeze bottle of liquid “butter” don’t take it. Bleh.. its grainy and gross, they have land o lakes imitation buttery spread if you request it.

Stopped through today 2/24/15 around 3 pm and we was greeted at the door by a lady counting her register however one waitress was sweeping the floor with her shoes sitting in front of the bathroom and texting in between conversation with a young man. the other waitress counted change and ignored my comment about leaving if it would be like this: my party of 5 left after waiting for a drink order to be taken but sadly we were ignored without even being asked what to drink. Honestly, it was awkward. I would never imagine flat out ignoring people doing that to 5 people when you have literally only one person in the diner, it was weird. The buildinh also had a weird egg smell even in the restroom. nightmare setting :/

We stopped at the diner on our way home. Service and food was excellent. Try the Triple Decker Club and the Party Melt. The fries were fresh and hot. Tasty!!

Been here four times in the past, always enjoyed it. Tonight got a burned onions and swiss burger and a cheap frozen chicken fried steak. The only vegetable was corn, which was oxidized and brown. Beware, Penny’s you’ll be out of business soon if you don’t change your staff and improve the quality of your ingredients.

Been wanting to stop here for years. Finally had time to stop. Got there at 2:10pm on a Sunday. Was told we wouldn’t be able to even PLACE an order for 30 minutes because it was shift change. Lovely. Peace out, y’all.

Came back after skipping for awhile because the service was outlandishly rude and slow and they never have anything in stock on the menu. I understand it is just a hole in the wall diner but seriously? At least lower the prices to nothing so it’ll even be worth it…
